Day-1 of RenegadeCon Virtual 2023 came to a close and the company teased several Transformers products to be revealed during the 2nd day of the event.
The company started off with the Transformers Deck Building Game. The game will see a new expansion titled War on Cybertron.
“Yeah, so again we have a deck-building game surprise, so this expansion is actually coming out in June. We haven’t shared this with anybody at all yet, and this is going to be another one of our Big Box Expansions.
It is all about the War on Cybertron.
Control Cybertron cities to determine the fate of the entire planet.
It has a ton of new cards, actually over 175 new cards.”
A brand-new Adventure Book is also introduced to the Transformers RPG:
‘The Time Is Now‘ will release in May.
“This is an adventure for levels 1 through 5 players can pull inspiration from NPCs and story locations and build their own characters. It’s a follow-up to Troubled Waters from the core rulebook. So, if you played through the troubled water adventure in the core rulebook, you can continue right into this with your players and continue their adventures.”
G.I. Joe Deck Building Game side was also covered with the recently revealed Transformers Crossover.
“This is called New Alliances and it’s a crossover with Transformers. So, you get to play using the mission deck and all the other things that you know and love from G.I. Joe Deck Building Game, but now we’re going to get a little bit of help from our Autobot friends.
So, if you were a little worried about defeating Cobra, well now we’ve got some extra resources to help you out here, but also new challenges as well.”

Man Renegade is REALLY bleeding me dry here. There's not only Across The Stars and Finster's Monster-Matic Cookbook for Power Rangers but now a book dedicated to crossovers.
I mean I need Finster to make my own threats which would also work for Transformers as well and Across for the new Gold, Silver, and Phantom Ranger roles as well as stat blocks for the Machine Empire for my long brewing story about the Decepticons allying themselves with the Machine Empire.

They also just recently reupped their partnership with Hasbro by taking on several of their board game licenses like Diplomacy, Robo Rally and Axis & Allies.

Pre-ordered it, only to have them email me and say they couldn't fulfill all the orders, but it would be reprinted in January.

I think as long as Renegade doesn't get bought and "reorganized" like FFG and Asmodee, they'll maintain the current licences in a much healthier manner.

They seem to have a long-term commitment to the licenses. Heroes of the Grid is about 5 years old now and still running with Joes having just joined the system in Mission Critical. The deckbuilders have been going since 2021. The RPG debuted last spring with 3 franchises hitting last year and MLP coming in June; all compatible. I share your sentiment about the CCG since I got out of it right before it died a swift death and was bummed. I think they'll last at least as long as FFG did Star Wars before they unceremoniously dumped everything in favor of the more expensive Legion. Actually, Heroes of the Grid is the same guy as Imperial Assault!

Now that Hasbro is willing to play around with the idea these universes can exist together, can we get either GI Joe Rangers or Transformer Rangers?
Also, what would be cooler? Transformers that morphed or human Rangers with Cybertronian themes?

The Transformers x Power Rangers pic is the cover of a Source Book for the TTRPG. The MLP x Transformers Card Game crossover is a deck building game. Completely different than a TCG like the last MLP or Transformers Card games. It's a standalone game like a board game, with expansions.

After the rise of the beasts trilogy they should have new movie power rangers right? All I\'m saying is, hasbro could totally do just one classic styled crossover movie where devestator actually fights the power rangers. It doesn\'t have to be like an endgame or infinity war, more like Godzilla vs Kong. Please give us a real crossover hasbro.
