Courtesy of our very own 2005 Boards member Banshee we can share for you our first in-hand images of the recently revealed Transformers Legacy Voyager Metalhawk & Twincast.
To our surprise, both figures have showed up at some specialty stores in Canada. We have clear shots of Metalhawk in both robot and alt mode and good comparison shots next to Kingdom Cyclonus. Metalhawk proves to have his own personality and it’s hard to identify that he shares some parts and engineering with Cyclonus at first sight. Twincast is a nice Kingdom/Legacy Blaster redeco inspired by the G1 Japan character. He comes with his cassettebot partner Rewind which is molded in clear gray plastic.
Not much left to say, so enjoy the mirrored images attached to this news post and let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Does anyone know the product numbers for Metalhawk?

Despite how dumb using the gun for an antenna is in terms of an "evo-fusion" gimmick, I actually prefer that to the regular storage method in Baster's instructions

Because those figures practically only had that as paint and very little else. Meanwhile Metalhawk has a varied paint scheme and a not insignificant amount of paint apps on him.
I have both Studio Series Sideswipes and Soundwave also. There isn't much paint detailing on them thanks to how much silver is used. Laserbeak himself is just that gray plastic with just eyes painted in and that's it.

Alternate explanation: space guy has Buzz Lightyear syndrome. Needed extra precautions to keep him subdued.
Music man just chillin'.

Compared to Blaster:
– it is not possible to have a tie across the chest, because of wings complicating things. They remediated with two ties above and below the intended one;
– it not possible to have a single tie across the legs, because of… wings complicating things. In this case, it's the winglets attached to the calves. As before, two ties are replacing the intended one.

Metalhawk has 5 twine ties to secure him to the box. Yes, 5. Hasbro taking extra precaution.

Highly recommended

Metalhawk does feel a bit cheap in-hand, really could have used gold paint on the torso. If they can afford silver paint all over SS Sideswipe, soundwave and Mirage, why not some gold here?

yep, alas I've given up the hunt and am content with this latest mainline voyager version.
Fafnir72
Good luck finding one. Like that was years ago and soooooooooooo limited.
[Wing_Saber-X]
I wonder what's the after-market price nowadays. So tempted. I'm good, am a seasoned model kit builder. So these kinds of garage kits are no issues for me…
Fafnir72
And looks like it can fit a Pretender shell too!
[Wing_Saber-X]
The Wonderfest kit version was defo more anime accurate and slimfit..
Fafnir72
Might be the "headmaster" version. Though this is a primus blessing, I wished this would have looked more like the Wonderfest kit version years ago. Being a stoopid carbon based lifeform you just can't get no satisfaction
Venixion
YES. Nowhere did I say anything about the SIZE of the damn thing. I simply mentioned the CHARACTER. You are the only one who keeps HARPING on about it unnecessarily. And I'm sorry, but you're starting to get on my nerves.
[Wing_Saber-X]
yes, the deluxe from the set
Venixion
There was a metal hawk released several lines ago.
[Wing_Saber-X]
What do you mean the last time Metalhawk was released?
this voyager version is NEW…
Vector Oracle
He also has 2 POTP Metalhawks in cannon mode attached to him in the second picture, which gives him a ‘90s comic book feel.
