More Legacy Evolution news this morning as another sighting of new toys at US retail has been reported on the 2005 Boards. Board member ApocalypseThruster shared with us his pickup of Core Class Slug from his local Target store. Also in this wave is Sludge and Soundblaster.

Ten dollar deluxes those were the days…

Needlenose wouldn’t ring up today at Target, either.

I found Slag today too. Weird thing, the Target computers didn't recognize the bar code. Just a heads up.

Good go know. I generally don't pay attention to those and never saw it before.

Yeah, it’s been out for months
Super 7 ReAction Transformers G2 Grimlock & Galvatron Toy Deco Found At Target
Dirge121
Id assume so, they’ve been at my local Target since before Christmas. Looks like they have that and the toy colors Galvatron.
Dachande
Has that G2 Grimlock ReAction fig been spotted before?

Which is amazing, if u consider the losses on potential sales for Hasbro.
I saw a Hasbro rep at a Walmart once. Hasbro shirt and everything. But far as I could tell, she wasn't checking the assortments… but rather that stuff was stocked. I really couldn't say what her purpose was, as Walmart routinely has the worst stocking!
For me, personally, ordering direct through the mail/internet is not fun at all. You could preorder everything 6-12 months in advance. But why? Where's the fun in that?

Good grief another blown opporuntity for a news credit!
I spotted these earlier this week but thought they were already out!
Legacy Breakdown Found At Retail
Nevermore
The difference with WFC was that each line had its own title. Earthrise wasn't "Siege: Earthrise".
Again, it's either Legacy wave 4 or Evolution wave 1, depending on how you prefer to look at it.
What definitely doesn't make sense is this:
How can Breakdown be Legacy wave 4 when he ships in the same case as the Evolution wave 1 Deluxes?
As I explained elswhere, there's a difference between distribution and marketing.
Distribution-wise, a "wave" is a change in the line-up within a shipping case of an assortment. It can contain both new and old figures.
Marketing-wise, a "wave" is a batch of new figures.
So from a distribution perspective, it's Legacy wave 4, but from a marketing perspective, it's Evolution wave 1.

Except their stock numbers are based on a generic DPCI. So they say "send more deluxes" not "send more Breakdown."

You will never see Wave2 or 3 in US stores. The initial order is placed by a human, but reorders are automated. Even the initial orders are being automated now. That is why you keep seeing Wave 1 reappearing because the computers keep replenishing stock with the same stock numbers. Not updating them for new product within the year.
Mass retail is based on seasons in departments or products that never change. Like auto and most housewares. The toy department has resets, but that would leave the shelves empty when the initial shipped inventory sells out. So when a store sells out of Wave 1 it is replaced with more orders of Wave 1, not orders for Wave 2. Inventory management systems exist to fill holes, not to intelligently stock shelves. So you see Bulkhead all year until Christmas where you get two weeks to buy the next wave. After the Christmas reset, you get Wave1 again for the next series.
I could buy Power of the Primes wave one all year, the same with Siege. The other waves showed up in Walmart with one box, one time. I was lucky and found a few figures. They never showed up again. If you really want different waves, your best bet is to make an account with Entertainment Earth and buy the shipping cases. Of course you'll end up with the case assortment and will have to sell the ones you don't want. Retail in the US is 100% broken.

That…doesn't help?
Legacy: Evolution just reminds me of WfC where we had the trilogy.
Yep. BMac was talking about how he pushed to keep it in the original Legacy box.

There is no "right" or "wrong" there. Evolution wave 1 is the same as Legacy wave 4. It's essentially a subline imprint, same as Cyberverse: Dinobots Unite. The "Evolution" title does not replace the "Legacy" portion, it's "Legacy: Evolution" right there on the packaging. So depending on whether you want to think of the subline imprint as its own thing or just a continuation of Legacy, it's your personal choice. There is no definite "this is right and that is wrong".

Pretty sure Breakdown is evolution wave 1 deluxe but just in the standard legacy packaging to match his fellow stunticons
Omegaclaw
Evolution W1. I guess Breakdown is the sole member of Legacy W4
T-Hybrid
Just for my own sanity, is this Legacy W4 or Evolution W1? It's kinda like how I've given up on tracking the actual wave numbers of Studio because it's been going for so long.
ApocalypseThruster
Found 3 Slugs and a Sludge at Broadway Target in California, bought one of the Slugs (already got Sludge from a collector's store). Didn't have great pictures of in-store, so here's one with the receipt, as per the rules. Soundblaster's in this wave too, should be in stores as well.
Note it says unidentified for some reason, but showing the Amazon price to the cashier registered.
