The official Takara Tomy Hobby YouTube channel have uploaded an interesting Transformers Masterpiece MP-56 Trailbreaker official transformation video for your viewing pleasure.
The video shows a very useful step by step transformation sequence from the classic Toyota 4WD Hi-Lux camper truck mode to an impressive cartoon accurate robot mode. We can also see how the extra parts, accessories and interchangeable faces work with this figure. As an extra bonus, we can also share some in-hand images of this new Masterpiece toy with a closer look at the robot and alt mode, comparison shots next to other MP toys and more. Thanks to Twitter users @Alfes2010, @omegazakki, and @tf__tf.
You can still pre-order and secure your copy via our sponsors links below. Watch the video after the jump and then sound off your impressions on the 2005 Board!

Thanks! I actually emailed toyhax and they said they didn't have plans to make any for him so I had a friend make these at work. I don't know if anyone else has made them.
Abigail Barajas
Off topic but he looks so good with those stickers! Might get mine some :3

Interesting, I hadn't even noticed this issue until you pointed it out. I guess the other shoulder joints already provided enough articulation for me. If you push gently on the front of the windshield/collar area you can shift things just a bit to give that joint a little more clearance to get past that hinge. It'll still bump into it a bit, though.
DoodleBrandon
Hm, not sure what I did wrong but the door hinge is in the way of the butterfly joint. I had forced the joint in, squeezing it above the door hinge but after leaving him on the shelf for a while I was getting paranoid about it, looked, and now I see the tiniest of cracks on the windshield where the front of the roof is attached. I should have known better than to force anything but why is the space for the butterfly joint so small? I guess I'll transform him again to make sure I have everything sitting right, but has anyone had this happen? View attachment 30257729

I have this issue on MP-56 but I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. Will this crack or still hold ?

Now i'm wondering how many people have their g1 Skids mistransformed after all these years

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!
Sam
No change, but without that little arm extension Trailbreaker can’t reach down to pat Spike on the head. Please, won’t you think of Spike?
Starscream appreciates your donation to the latter

Crap. I sent my annual donation to the wrong damn one. I should really read these fundraising mailers better.

Does is change anything in the articulation?
Or just cosmetic?
Sam
Minor PSA. I noticed very rarely that some people don’t have their Trailbreaker’s biceps pulled all the way down.
Incorrect (note: subject is frowning, clearly dissatisfied)

Correct (note: subject appears content, happy with correct transformation)

Stick to official figures. KO has its own thread. Cheers.

He arrived today and after getting him flipped to bot mode, I think I’m just going to keep the nozzle/missile launcher collapsed like Emgo opted.
On the plus side, my copy’s backpack was able to fully tab in and despite some damned tight hinges (the one below his bumper and the one behind his head explicitly) he’s pretty much flawless.

Yup, I use for detailing parts on my Gundams and normally let it cure 2-3 weeks before I put on a clear coat.
Xaxis
For best results with Molotow liquid chrome, allow a minimum of two weeks for it to cure before handling. The longer it’s allowed to cure, the more durable it becomes and 48 hours is too soon for the built-in clearcoat to properly harden.
There’s a thread here where several of us have posted about using them, I’d highly recommend you read through it if you’re considering using them. The chrome effect is incredible but there are definitely things to know for best results.

Not to bash 3p, but this is just the type of attention to detail from official offerings that is unmatched. Prices be damned, but licensed just has more authentic value to offer.

i hadn’t precisely chosen a brand yet but yes that was my thought. After flipping him to bot mode he isn’t getting changed back so I wanted to see if it would work. I know they had to do it the way they did because it telescopes out, but that unpainted are just sticks out like a sue thumb in everything I’ve seen of him. I’ll wait to see what he looks like in hand before pulling the trigger.

Well, I don't have Trailbreaker yet, but if you're talking about the Molotow liquid chrome markers, I did used them on my old vintage G1 Jazz, and Thunder Punch He-man. They do get the job done, and they can also be used with a airbrush, but there are some problems.
I would advise you to let the paint dry for at least 24 to 48h, and even so be extremely careful not to touch the painted area. Rubbing or even touching it will dull the chrome and you'll loose the mirror effect, sealing it with clear coat will have the same effect.
Try to look up for some videos on YouTube about it.
