Third party company 01 Studio have updated their Weibo account with our first images of the gray prototype of their 01 Studio Seed (Transformers Cybertron Primus).
This is a new mold inspired by Primus as seen in the Transfomrers Cybertron cartoon. As we can see from the images, he’s a very detailed mold specially in planet mode. It comes wih a display base for you to display the planet Cybertron mode. There are not much details about size or release date, but we may expect it to be in scale with 01 Studio Cell/Unicron.
See the new images after the break and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

I found it a fairly easy transformation and I didn't have any problems or have any pains like everyone else. Why hurt your fingers? Use a tool to help (I used the bottom of tweezers to help press in some of the orange bits). I think Unicron had a harder transformation than this. I hope more people give this figure a chance. I, myself, don't see it as bad as some of the other members are stating but to each their own. I understand not everyone is the same but overall, even if you don't transform this thing, it's a great piece to have as a part of your collection. I recommend it to anyone. The worst part about this thing are the electronics and that the fact that the magnets aren't strong enough. Why add them if they don't work well? That's my two cents. Happy Friday everyone!
P.S I also recommend using RockFX's video on Youtube. Watching him helped me to transform this big guy with no issues. He doesn't use the tabs on the feet, but you can still do it. He commented to me that he had issues getting them tabbed but that's just a matter of YMMV.

Man, I've only opened up my Primus once or twice and put him away. I don't think I can put on all his adornments if they can't come back off easily for storage…the horn stuff. I might be able to crack into him more next month

See I’m lucky they didn’t, if they did I would have had to get him.
Cybertron Primus needs an update so bad.

Tbh I think the lack of buzz around him comes from the fact they didn’t do the most obvious Primus option, which is from Cybertron. That’s the main Primus people latch onto, while this one is just hoping people consider it G1 enough to work, while also not fully committing to the g1 esthetic.
Like even as just a rival for their Unicron, he doesn’t look like he’s from the same universe/aesthetic as unicron. So he doesn’t even really fit with that.

His transformation is rough and will jack up your hands, but the outcome is really really nice. The planet mode is superb, and the bot mode looks amazing. Definitely worth the price.

Many reviews I’ve read and watched mentioned that, it’s one of the reasons I held off despite loving Primus.
Thing is he wouldn’t be the first transformer to have a bad Transformation that got popular, I mean I don’t think I’ve ever read one person saying they like MP 44’s lol.
octobotimus
Well it certainly got a bad transformation reputation so that doesn’t help.

How has the word of mouth been?
I know it got a mixed reception at first, did it sell out pretty quick and end with overall positive reception?

Taking their time with the second run

Just a follow up if anyone else has that issue or wants to be safe not to lose the orange pieces over time. I used pledge floor polish and it worked like a Charm. Used a toothpick and a couple dabs. Glued in. No discoloration.

Anyone had issues with their orange pieces coming out after install? I started last night and shook the panels alittle to test the fit and some came out. I'm going to end up dabbing a bit of glue on them.

Finally got my copy in! Absolutely LOVE this thing. Granted I have two panels that had some broken spikes and one electronic that didn't work but I've reached back out to showz for assistance!
Fingers sore? Yep! But worth it! After having it in hand, I'm not sure what the big deal is for those that couldn't get from A to B. I guess it's a matter of your mileage may vary. I hope that after some time, ya give it another go. The reviewer I followed aided me and with some patience, I ended up with a planet mode with no gaps! Everything is tabbed and looks great!

That's the configuration I ended up going with, but I would love the extras on the side of the legs.

Am I counting it wrong? Aren't there also 4 spires on the right leg?
View attachment 30321998
Ah! I get it, you can put the spires/spikes in any configuration..,
I forgot I posted pics from seasonann here: 01-Studio 01S02 Seed / Primus

You’re wrong about the calf facing away from the camera based on the single image shown. You are assuming there are 3 but only 1 is shown. That is 10.
daimchoc
Legs have 4 (1x shin + 3x side of calf), 1x forearm, 1x shoulder – 6 on each side.
Pinkmyfloyd
I only count 10. Are you assuming there a 3 on the leg facing away from the camera?
