If one person tells you one thing, and a whole bunch of other people tell you the other, occams razor points to the majority being right.
The reviewer is known for pulling shit out of his ass and making claims with no proof, such as claiming certain figures were from Studio Series even though that was widely known to not be true. Plus, guy acts like a jerk sometimes. There is no proof the altered version of Bumblebee is the Takara version, nor should it be taken as indication that future Takara releases will vary from the Hasbro versions again. Theres a massive leap in logic to believe all of that instead of the other alternate explanations others have provided which are much simpler and realistic. EI, that this is just a running change, or that this is the repaint the designers alluded to on their instagram.

We shall see indeed, all I know is, I’m glad I waited on getting him.

So for now without being bias (to be fair, neither PVP or Swoop has anything to do with this matter), we'll just have to wait and see. However, if the Takara version does have the modifications then I'll probably jump ship and start buying my figures from Takara and forget about Hasbro (even if it means a later release but more likely a better paint job).
TF Hot Rod
We shall see but a lot of the times these leakers just talk like they know things but they don't. Like PVP said Swoop was going to be a Voyager and we knew he wasn't going to be likely.
wings
So again, I have no idea who's info is 'more reliable'.
TF Hot Rod
Your good, honest question.
He doesn't but he has sources it seems. Most of these people on here that leak stuff just know people in there not that they work for Hasbro.
wings
My apology for not knowing much about any members here. I'm just curious, since you said that @Praxus has somewhat backed it up; does he/she work for Hasbro or something and is that what makes his/her info more reliable than the YouTuber? For the time being anyway, it sounds like (possible) speculation from everyone.
TF Hot Rod
Don’t have one but we know a pr is coming next wave and this has the same numbers as wave 1. Along with @Praxus has somewhat backed it up that it’s wave 3 also so hat appears more are coming like a Evolution Breakdown with some new paint apps.
NemesisJazz
Agreed. The takara version is scheduled to release in June at HLJ. At least Chefatron got info from his supplier (ie close to production). There is a possibility that this variant may actually be for BOTH.
Did your supplier verify this info?
wings
Never thought bringing up the YouTube video would become character attack on the YouTuber. Whether the info given by the Youtuber is right or wrong; I highly doubt it is intentional because I just don't see how the YouTuber would benefit from telling a lie about this. Was he misinform (maybe by his 'supplier'), perhaps. But making up random claim like this; it sounds unlikely (well, to me at least).
TF Hot Rod
Boy does he.
wings
Maybe, maybe not. It was his video and the info (repack for wave3) was from a tweet which is still based on his video so I'm not sure (unless I missed another post about this somewhere else). Again it's hard to tell for an outsider like myself.
Purple Heart
Chefatron is known for making stuff up.
wings
Oh, is that what it is. Perhaps it is but who knows; maybe they both are. It's just odd that he (Chefatron) kept referring it as the Takara Tomy version in his video. It's hard to say since none of these are supposed to be released yet.
TF Hot Rod
It not a Takara version, it’s a repack for wave 3 of SS.
wings
looking at this perhaps I should just skip all my future Hasbro purchases and get the Takara version instead even if it means I have to wait a tad longer for the release …
GokaigerSamurai7
Wasn't clear but yeah I get it.

Kind of what I was implying at the end of my post.
