Coming to us via PrimeVsPrime on Youtube, we have a new gallery of in-hand images of the new Transformers Legacy: Evolution Deluxe Armada Universe Hot Shot .
Armada Hot Shot is part of Legacy Wave 4 Deluxe and he’s a great update to the original Armada Hot Shot toy from 2002. The figure features a lot of details and sculpt taken from both Hot Shot animation model and toy, now with the articulation range of modern toys. While Legacy Hot Shot can still deploy his mounted bazooka, he doesn’t come with any Minicon partner. His bazooka can now be taken out at used as a handheld gun. Alt mode is heavily based in his classic car mode which we are sure will please any Armada fans. As usual, we also have comparison shots next to other figures like Legacy Armada Starscream and WFC figures.
Check all the images after the jump, as well as PrimevsPrime review, and then let us know if your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

The Target store in Santa Barbara. They took out the peg where deluxe Legacy figures had been, and replaced it with one for the voyager class figures, even though voyagers do not have hooks to hang from. They actually balanced the boxes on an empty peg underneath.
This Target store is one of the small-format Target stores, being inside an old mall building that is only 34,000 square feet, making it one of the smallest Targets out there. Most average sized Target stores are inside buildings that average around 130,000 square feet.

Which Target store said this?

Ya I saw one in Torrance or San Pedro or harbor city I forgot which one. I didn’t pick it up but it was there maybe a week or 2 ago

I’ve seen em in Santa Clarita

Has anyone found Hot Shot at Target in southern California?
I am concerned due to my local Target store informing me that they have, hopefully temporarily, discontinued the Legacy deluxe class figures and will no longer have them in stock.

oh my gosh the blob logos. It's astonishing they thought that was ok. Looked so bad.

Sorry, just saw this! It's a bit of a tight fit, but I got it on and off with no real problems.

I don't think you can pop it off—if you can, we'll be seeing loads of visorless Hot Shots on store shelves in four or five months. I suspect the head is two pieces put together that close around a knob on each end of the visor and keep it in place. I just put a drop of floor polish on each side and stood him upside-down for 24 hours (easy to do because of his shoulder pads) so that the polish doesn't run down into the neck, and that did the trick.

Is anyone else's visor super loose? Or does anyone know how it is connected to the head? I want to pop mine off and tighten the connection but don't want to break it.

Same. One of the better Armada repaints. I really liked yellow Jolt. I remember hunting for the version with the detailed bot symbol versus the red blob version.

I'd very much like to see this mold in his Powerlinx colors.

hows the port fit? i tried bulkheads minicon pegs with armada grindor, and it was super tight and ripped out the inner bar from his port :/
Poe Ghostal
The original 2002/3 Jolt can fit on the back of Hot Shot, but it has to be angled a bit because of the height of the alt mode, and his arms have to be folded back due to the spoilers.
Now I'm hoping someone like DNA Design does an upgrade kit with a new Jolt…though I suppose an official Core Jolt isn't out of the question either?

Would have looked better if they ditched the clear plastic and painted the windows.

Everything about this toy is so lovable that the one flaw (in my mind) is so much more glaring–that they painted the clear blue plastic roof panels yellow. I wish they would stop doing this. I think that the paint would probably be a pretty good match for the plastic if another coat or two were applied, but as it is, the thin layer of yellow paint on the blue plastic ends up looking the littlest bit green to my eyes. I don't know why they didn't just do the roof in opaque plastic and paint the windows, it was good enough for the Armada toy.

No. Ball is much too large for the hole. You can kinda finagle something with the other tabs, but it’s not particularly stable or satisfying.

Hmm, true. Was trying to pay some attention to that but was also like I said lazy and didn't know which parts were colorgrouped together.
