Cool, thanks! I’ll check there!
EDIT: They sure did, and it was even slightly on sale. Grabbed a set. Thanks again for the tip!

I believe Bombusbee has the EX set still in stock. No idea about the reissue though.

Sorry to bump a slightly older thread, but I notice that a few places (Bababobo, TerrysTFclub) still have the pair of EX Inferno/Grapple up for preorder. Anyone know if more of these are planning to be released?
I have one set but was considering picking up a second to get an Inferno toy-head for Hauler (and probably would be selling off the extra EX Grapple).

Awesome–thanks for the info!

The toon versions are a slight shade brighter than the EX versions. But yeah, I didn't notice all the tiny differences between the two versions! In addition to the different reds, the windshields are different colors, the grill, bumper, headlights, and thingies on top of the shoulders are silver instead of white, the waist and thighs of toon grapple are grey, whereas on the EX they're black. Inferno takes it a step further with the EX having black thighs and the toon having red, plus the wheels of toon Inferno are more greyish black, not to mention the different colored lamps on the top of the cab.
Oh geez! Heh, I have these guys on the same shelf as my NA and MS Constructicons, and Hauler was next to them so he totally blended in with them and I totally forgot about him!

But here he is, center stage!

Okay…then I'll continue to await @gaseous clay !

I'm only going off the pic posted above, they both seem half a shade lighter/more faded than their toon counterparts.
FredVIII
Do you have both in hand to compare? Pics perhaps?
Mechman42
Hauler/SG Grapple too.
They look slightly different.
FredVIII
Are the reds and the oranges of the main bodies the same in both versions?

It’s the EX head sculpts that really tempt me.

Heh, I had the EX version on order for what seems like forever TCP finally got this in and it arrived today:

So I guess other than the Fire Dept logo and circle bullseyes on the side of Inferno's truck mode, and the chrome bumper with the yellow and black safety design on Grapple's truck mode, the truck modes between these and the toon version are not that much different. In bot mode though, guess there's tampos galore making them quite distinct from the originals.
So now I have all but the transparent versions:

I really like the Bulkhead version personally
magicube
I suggest Bulkhead so you can avoiding doubling up on characters (if thats a priority). While its a good mold, I would agree that they are a little pricy.
Iron Factory's Fuzos are also a little cheaper so that can help if you end up wanting to get both Grapple and Inferno. I don't imagine Iron Factory will make repaint of their mold for him.

Wanting to get some in hand general feelings for this mold.
Discarding the EX version or the japan version (cause they are not my cup of tea), which one do you like more, Inferno / Grapple Toon (or green version of Grapple), or Bulkhead ???
I find them kinda expensive vs the dinos, so wanting to get one of this mold. I plan to also buy one of the IF Inferno or Grapple… but again, not both. I am leaning towards Bulkhead, but he is 7$ more than Grapple / Inferno.

Nice I see your inspiration:

Here's a fun little mashup I did using their green, red, and orange molds!

not a fan of this mold. find NA made grapple/inferno too small in relationship with the rest of their autobots, particularly in relationship to their ratchet/ironhide v2 mold, which i also detest as being too big!
but give it to NA to pump out decos i just can't resist, so i end up getting them as standalones.
bulkhead and SG ratchet…

I got Artfire on a 2nd hand deal, at about 60% of UK retail price. MS don't appear to be revisiting their Fusos any time soon, and NA did do some interesting things, so I crossed the fence to get a version of this mold.
As always, Artfire's colours are a strange combination of colour placements, but when every other character in this body type tends towards a jumpsuit colour scheme, there's merit in the one guy who dares to buck the trend.
That head/arm flip in transformation is genuinely wonderful, while the rest is a nicely executed version of the standard Infernapple scheme. At this scale, hiding the ladder just seems to create a different looking backpack though (oh no, the tiny figure isn't as clean as the MP!). And while I think it is ultimately forgivable, the windshield did need to be darker to obscure the transformation pegs.
Doing a fully articulated targetmaster at this size feels like a questionable choice, it's very fiddly. I think I would have preferred a more static figure at this scale.
Both truck and robot are very nice, but, I'm also happy with getting this one as a 2nd hand deal. NA is nice, but leader money for this wouldn't have felt good. Voyager money, that's better.

Yeah, I got MP Artfire for that left of center approach, but originally only wanted Inferno, but since I'm all in for the EX, that was fine by me.
Now they gotta re-do the Datsun mold. I need a good Smokescreen and then hope they do comic versions.
But: good point!
