Ugh. So, THAT’S where all the peanut butter went. I’m going to have to keep those two separated.

just got this guy – he barely fits in the cassette holder – also, why doesn't he have stickers like Motif? Hopefully toyhax or someone will do it. It would be way better!
GrimLocke
Well, that blows.
I hope the regular release proves to be more resilient.

And mine came like this, broken out of the box. The wing just fell off as I touched it. Fantastic start there.

Got mine. He's pretty great. Didn't have any trouble with the transformation thanks to Paik pointing out his particulars previously. Really straight forward once you know the best order of doing it and how the unusual A to V motion of the main body parts works.
He's quickly become my favorite mmc cat figure, really fun to pose with a lovely silhouette not suffering from as much lankiness or odd shapes as the prior efforts.

I bet that cat nip is the cat’s meow!

No literally, flying out of Denver in a moment.

Amen!
And, of course, I'd prefer if things were cheaper, but I think it's better to be happily surprised when figures are cheaper than you expected than to be sorely disappointed that they're more expensive.
Or, prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Touche. I was smoking that headbanger boogie last night.
But they’ll be 170 plus shipping!

Yes, they’ll be sold as a pair… for $160.
Also, I didn’t know Jazz transformed into a tape deck.
deaculpa
Kinda hoping eject and rewind will be sold as a pair? This was kind of expensive, I was mentioning that I got jazz for less than the price of one of his tapes
GrimLocke
I said in the Rewind thread that I figured they’d be between $70-100 and closer to the bottom, and that seems to be the case.
So, I would guess the regular release will be at least $70, but it could even be $75 or $80.
And while I do think the increase in price of 3P TFs—besides FansToys—can accurately be described as inflation, I do think it’s important to keep in mind in the broader economy that companies that are still seeing soaring profits are committing price gouging in addition to the typical inflation, which is still plenty deleterious all its own.
Craigmcgowan1984
That's for the exclusive though, the retail will be less. The other 3 cost me about £50 each so with the recent inflation and all I'd expect to pay £65 for this one. Not happy about that really but it's the world we live in now I guess.
GrimLocke
I think I paid $64.99 for the crowdfund for the last reissue of the OG Jaguar on PSX like four years ago, and then paid $69.99 for Doccat on ToyDojo two years ago or so.
divinecomedy
Nah, I'll just stick with Newage
divinecomedy
Yeah I got my Ravage for 60 – 65.
solskjaer
yes, $60 ish for the tape so $85 with inflation seems right. Life is not easy though.
TransformerFanatic
Ah. Maybe that's what it was. I was late to the game and paid an unfortunate late tax on the black/chrome Ravage. Managed to get everything else I wanted at retail but I totally feel you there.
I've been excited about these for a while too. Hopefully more autobot tapes soon.
