Coming to us via PrimeVsPrime on Youtube, we now have a set of new in-hand images of the recently revealed Transformers Legacy Deluxe Scraphook.
Scraphook is a new Junkion-type character who transforms into a rusty tow truck. He comes packed with several extra parts that can be attached to his body or alt mode thanks to all his 5-mm ports. Scraphook can split his arms and limbs in a similar way as the WFC Modulators/Weaponizers/Fossilizers to be attached to other figures, but he can still transform normally. As a curious “gimmick”, the truck mode can split into 3 parts. We have several comparison shots next to other Junkions and War For Cybertron and Legacy figures (don’t miss a look at Legacy Needlenose too).
Check all the images after the jump, as well as PrimevsPrime review, and then let us know if your impressions on the 2005 Boards!
TF Hot Rod
Either way it’ll he’s gonna look good with the SS Junkions.

Hmm, yes…It's almost like it's from a completely separate line to the 86 Studio Series and is more intended for Siege/ER type figures.
Max Tower
Circuit's colours are quite close to That Junkion. Close enough to pass anyway. & I guess another Junkion could make an exosuit for him too.
Not that I am suggesting that is the case.

I hope not. I loved that Lockdown but it made for a terrible Circuit/Axor.
Vanya
I wouldn't mind that at all, as long as they do a good bit of retooling to make him match his original mold better.
But, really I'd rather have him as a hood-chested carbot.
Same for circuit.
I really hope not. I don't like the pretenders merging their shells with their core bots, I certainly don't want the action masters merged with their vehicles.
Ideally I'd want the vehicles to become their own characters much like the reimagined couple of micro master bases we got.
T-Hybrid
Given one of the images in the Evolution promo art is a Junkion with a side car (even if it's made up of part of another Junkion) it's not impossible Axor is already planned from *that*
RodimusRex
Only if we also get Circuit.

if we get lockdown can we please get axor?

T-Hybrid
It wouldn't?
His legs extend from the front bumper and his arms contain the rear bumper. They could easily recreate a taller Lockdown by having his torso do the work of making him taller while his modular arms and legs extend out.
squawkbot
Wish he was voyager sized, i mean, he looks like he\'s suppose to tow other junkions. By size comparison he looks ridiculous, uncool
RodimusRex
A lot of us here have been hoping that one of the unnamed Junkion listings turns out to be Nancy.

ROTF is also pretty dang tall, he's like a hair taller than the TFA version. Here's him against voyager bludgeon.
(This reminds me I need to open up my msib copy of rotf lockdown too…)

While I'm not certain for the ROTF/ 2010 line, I can say that in Animated's toyline, figure size classes were measured by vehicle mode. This is why Lockdown, despite being a deluxe, was taller than most voyagers.
This is also why Bulkhead and Lugnut are comparatively tiny.

I think they meant toy, not media….

bearytrek
okay, if they're going to build out the Junkion faction, when are we getting the first female Junkion?
Mardroid
Fair enough on the 'transclearant' thing, but I've always thought of helicoptor rotors as propellors. I thought thats what they were actually called, rather than being a cute 'ism' thing, although maybe it's more accurate to use that term for the underwater rotary blades that propell boats.
Maybe it's a a cultural terminology thing. Judging by his accent, the reviewer and I are both English.

Animated and RotF Lockdown's heights are directly a result of his transformation method. With legs running the entire length of the car mode, his robot mode winds up almost double-sized.
Most other car Transformers have more give-and take in their geometry. A third of the vehicle length extends into their legs, but then they lose visual mass simultaneously with the hood folding down/away.
As long as that basic transformation is maintained, there's no reason that a new Lockdown couldn't hold onto that tradition, even under modern budget constraints.
ScorponokIsHere
They also both transform in a specific way and in a certain style that is incompatible with both the style of the line and with the swappable-parts gimmick that the Junkion toys need to be part of. That's why I suggested Voyager Class instead, because that height cheat won't work given the circumstances.

The original two Lockdown figures(Animated & HFTD) were both Deluxes, and they were VERY tall.
