Taking a look today at another Threezero Transformers piece – DLX scale Revenge of the Fallen Jetfire. This is their mid scale tier, standing at about 15 inches tall and a whopping 65 points of articulation. In addition, he comes apart into many (many many) pieces in order to combine with the previously released Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime to make Jetpower Optimus Prime. I’ve had this guy in hand a bit and want to thank Threezero for their patience as I handled some things and finally got the gallery done. On the other hand, he is now shipping globally so if you dig what you see you can grab him now! Check our sponsors below, then read on for some quick thoughts and about 70 HD Images!

Threezero DLX Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Jetfire
Overall Thoughts:
A Masterpiece. While I personally wasn’t super into the way they handled Jetfire in the Bayverse, character wise or looks – the combined Prime mode and end fight scene was epic. And this figure let’s you go there on the shelves. On it’s own, it’s a big hunk of old-timey plastic. Detailing, weathering, and moveable parts are off the charts. On top of that, it all pops apart like a very expensive lego set to allow you to rebuild Jetpower Optimus Prime, using the previous DLX ROTF Prime as a base. The amount of engineering and planning that was needed to get this done is mind boggling. Couple that with painting every single part to look real-world, deal with tolerances for the pegs and ports and snap points, etc. Oh, it also has lights too, eyes and jetpacks. All in all it’s a truly masterful representation of the character and the combined mode, so if you are looking for a centerpiece display, this will do you plenty well. Threezero impresses me every round, getting better each time out, and the combination execution here puts it in a league of it’s own. I decided to go with Dino model kit and build me a DOTM OP with the ROTF version I'll get from Sideshow. By the time we get Shockwave, it will be completed ^^;

Well there are still some floating around on eBay. You'll have to pay a bit of a late tax but how much do you really want it?
I started my DLX & Premium scale collecting a bit late and had to pay late tax for some. I don't regret it one bit.
Sigmus Prime
It'd be disappointing for me personally since I need the 07/ROTF one for my collection, but it's a no-brainer – especially with Shockwave on the way.
Napalm
Yeah, a retweaked DOTM version would be easy money.

Again, I’d venture we will get a variant before a reissue because of that exact time delay now.
VVa
But ROTF Prime has been out for well over a year and a half, have there been any reissues of him?
SeahawkSpeed
We got 3 rereleases of BB OP over like 3 years, so about – a year between reissues. I’d venture Prime will get a DOTM variant before a reissue, I think Shockwave just has to release first.
Sigmus Prime
Any idea how long it's typically taken for them to restock a figure in the past? I'm trying to gauge if it's worth waiting, provided they don't opt for a DOTM variant instead.
Liege Prime
Unfortunately a lot does fall off if you aren't paying really close attention or pick him up wrong. He can get amazing poses, but it's a lot of work moving various parts out of the way.

Got a used one the other day, he is quite large, didn't expect him to be that big. The box itself is large enough to hold a child.
Not that I tested that.

You can't make an out-of-stock figure look that good, man.
Atomic Tofu
I draw human anatomy and have muscular hands myself…I support @VVa 's viewpoint

It's relaxed vs bracing. They're quite different imo. One is not a substitute for the other.View attachment 30025300

Right so I've had this figure since it came out but I've gotta just now ask;
What's the fucking point of these hands only being slightly different?? View attachment 30025259
One's a "relaxed" hand but the other is less relaxed?? Honestly could have been a pointing hand since TZ likes giving every Prime but Bayverse Prime a pointing hand.
Throway
The nature of the combination means stuff will pop off. It comes back on super easy and the only ire I have is with the panels that plug into the wheels.

Don't the pieces fall like a Lego figure? That's what I've heard about. So this is a bit solid?
Throway
Despite what some say it's pretty much unhindered.View attachment 30021656 View attachment 30021657 View attachment 30021658

How is his poseability?

They do pop-up on eBay quite regularly if you are happy to pay a late tax. Beats waiting endlessly for a reissue I suppose.

I'm hoping this gets rereleased soon! I have bought an upgrade head, chest/ab pieces, and feet for this guy to help with the accuracy, but the one that I have now is in the combined mode. I'm planning on having an individual Optimus with upgrades, an individual Jetfire with upgrades, and then an individual combined form with an upgrade head and I'd rather not take everything apart to add Prime's upgrades just to have to do that combination all over again when a potential rerelease happens.
