Continuing the behind the scenes looks at the Legacy Evolution figure reveals, Hasbro designer Mark Maher has now posted on his Instagram one for the new Junkion character, Scraphook!
“Let me introduce our brand new Legacy Evolution Deluxe Junkion Scraphook!Takara Tomy’s Ejima Takio san really out did himself on this excellent new Junkion cadet. Also, big shout outs to @artguy101 and @marcelomatere on some of the concept art that was made for these new dudes. There was an enormous amount of art, work, and downright passion to make this new team of Junkions come to life! 😅Sweating just thinking about it!! 😂 I couldn’t be more proud of this Evo-Fusion system that is really going to optimize your play experience and overall joy across your past, present, and hopefully future collection!
.
First off, just check out this guys steel eye patch and metal mohawk. This guy has all of your favorite junkion style but with so much more awesomeness! Did I mention I used the same color specs with your Studio Series Wreckgar 😉
.
For those of you that have been collecting since our Seige line, you will notice that the 5mm post system we have utilized on all our past weaponizers and fossilizers, the same system will be used here. For those of you who are new to this ability, please take a ride on a space bridge portal (youtube) or even better yet, buy some of our fossilizers and start your own combinations to get the hang of the system.
.
The key element here, which was shown in the 86 animated Transformers movie that debuted the first Junkions, they were able to fall apart or lose arms and legs and other Junkions could just pick up and utilize those parts as their own arms, legs, weapons, and armor. Not only can you do that with these new Junkion characters but for the first time ever, you will be able to split apart the front and back of their vehicle modes and combine and customize vehicle modes across all our new Junkions!!! 🤯
.
You can see me utilizing our Kingdom Deluxe Weaponizer Slammer, WFC Deluxe Brunt, and WFC Deluxe FastTrack for the custom fan builds showcased here.
.
But THERES MORE!! Unlike our past weaponizers and fossilizers, our Junkions don’t partsform. Ejima san was able to figure out a way for these Junkions to have your traditional transformation sequence! 🤯 speechless…”

Small junkion is one I'd like to see, just cuase why not
But your Refractor idea I really like, would be cool to see it be slightly inspired by the old retro robots with the TV chests
Michael Schlem
Yeah. Especially if some of them are the Retro Replays.
And for those who are wondering, me thinking about Junkion redecoes of the Weaponizers/Modulators are because of the way the Junkions appear to be modular, so arming them with Weaponizer/Modulator Parts feels like something possible.
Fafnir72
I wonder if Disney would mind having Larry the Cable Guy voice him?

I can see it as entirely possible they will do a Core Class Wreckgar at some point. Unless they think the Legends class one "will do" for the time being.
How about this for an idea "Botbots branded Mini-Junkions" similar to the Botbots but with some influence of the Kitchen Crew and Junkion colours.
Heck a great many Botbots would look great with the Junkions as is.

Modular Junkions are targeted right at me; I've got doubles (or more) of the weaponizers, and have nearly all of the modulators & fossilizers already. I preordered one Scraphook immediately, but I worry that's not going to be enough.
Hopefully down the line the Junkions get some air support, something inspired by the Airtruk or similar distinctively "weird" aircraft.
I also really hope we get a core weaponizer version of Short Junkion. A mild retool or redeco of Siege Refraktor/Scrapface could work as a Junkion hoverboard with his third-mode cube as a Junkion TV set (just retool the chest windscreen/tray as a CRT/LCD screen).
Yeah, I have a mighty need to build a Junkion combiner inspired by Weird Al. (No, not inspired by Wreck-Gar — inspired by Weird Al.)
I could definitely see that and Prime Ironhide out of him too.
And speaking of Kup, I could see a version of TFTM Tanker as a modular Junkion too. And he wouldn't even need to have a real-world Sherman tank alt either, just a space tank (maybe even with some Microtron inspiration)?
OH, yes, please!
…And the Bullet Farmer's tracked Peacemaker. And the Buzzard's spikey Plymouth Rock.

I dunno how Scraphook being a modular figure means anything with regard to Blitzwing.

An Offroad remold would be great especially if they could make him compatible with the rest of the team.
Especially if was the only one that could be an arm or leg.
I'm firmly convinced I'm never going to get satisfactory earth mode triple changers until I get a 3d printer and re-design them myself.

Though I was teasing – and would prefer they were a targetmaster – in a way they'd be a Targemaster anyway if they broke up into bits and since they may want to repaint or remould them – why not – I guess another wacky choice might be an Accelerator Hotrider too then we'd have a G2 weaponiser to.
I like the robot to look at – and he is quite heavy and chunky in the hand, and I did buy him on sale – so I can't complain that hard.
But poorly engineered Hasbro toys in combination with bad QC, Zero customer support, & discolouration is making me pivot more towards other options – I've already entirely stopped buying most Studio Series unless they are on clearance.
I was half joking but to be honest having a Junkion repaint/remould as a combiner team's official power up might actuall work pretty well I'll have to try slapping armour bit on Menasor and see what that looks like with what I have already.
Starpilot949
No he said they don't parts form to transform in to their vehicle modes, like other weaponized such as slammer do. They will be able to pull apart and peg different sectionson other bots like weaponized.
For a deluxe, they can engineer a weaponizer with no needs of parts forming to transform and make it look off the hook(pun intended), but for Blitzwing, Nuh uh. Needs to be "Leader".

"Unlike our past weaponizers and fossilizers, our Junkions don’t partsform"
It's for all the Junkions, I think.
T-Hybrid
I'll have to review the tape, but did Mark say that it was all the Junkions or was he referring just to Scraphook for now?
ClearAsChristal
I doubt any weaponizers will be turned into Junkions, as the Junkions don't partsform.
Michael Schlem
I was thinking about the Possibilities of Weaponizer/Modulator Redecoes into Junkions and was thinking about potential names for Junkions with their molds.
First of all, Cog. Cog and his two components Gasket and Gromit are all named after Mechanical Parts, making them fitting as Junkions. Cog's Junkion Counterpart could be called Jam with Defect and Fault. Considering that a lot of the Junkions are named after Trash/Junk/Waste and that Cog and his two components are named after Mechanical Pieces, naming a Junkion based upon that Mold after Mechanical Malfunctions would be great.
Next is Six-Gun. Considering Six-Gun was turned into a Cybertronian VTOL, I say that he should be retooled into a more Mechanical Design instead of his current Sci-Fi design. His name should reflect his original name and the fact he becomes 6 Guns. I don't exactly have a potential Name for him.
Could someone help me figure out any other potential names for Junkion Weaponizer/Modulator Redecoes?
Autobot N
It wasn't wreckgar, but one of his sources
T-Hybrid
That rumor ended up being a fake one of the leakers decided to plant because apparently blowing up their credibility was worth it for a "laugh" that nobody but him had.
Shepard Prime
I picked up Junkheap today on the strength of Scraphook and possible other future incoming Junkions I was that impressed with 'Hook. I was content with just Wreck-gar originally.
Rodimus Prime
That was @Wrecker217 sources messing with him
ClearAsChristal
Problem is, we don't have a Prime Breakdown. The actual Breakdown is G1, so we don't have a potential Offroad pretool.
Vector Oracle
Why must you suggest one of the most awesome ideas ever for a 90s kid like me?
