I love this deco!

Definitely better flipped out for balancing

I know the plastic bit is there but I couldn't figure out if it was supposed to be flipped into the heel or not. For some poses he seems to balance better with it flipped out. Like when you want him to do a John Travolta to show off that cool paint job – he needs a good heel to go with those flared pants!

The EX version is in my top 3 favourite toys…
just saying

Opened this yesterday and absolutely love it. A bit like Newage's Dinobots, this is exactly what I want an MP version of Skyfire to look like, the perfect halfway point between Phoenix and MP-57. And that EXR chameleon paint deco is gorgeous!

Pretty neat but I rather pay a bit more and have a proper display base for him alone. I'm using actually a tamashi base but is holding on thin air

Actually useful, not a bad upgrade

GoBetter is putting out a stand adapter for Jetfire:

There's about 50 posts earlier on when it just released that point out the backpack problem. It's one of my biggest gripes about this figure. That and the paint is cream vs the white plastic. The legs on my toon copy are a bit loose but ab crunch is fine, but definitely a huge fail that everytime you want to pose the figure the backpack untabs.

may not be super tight, but not finding any real issues staying in place for my toon and SG versions.

You can add some Vallejo airbrush r.e.t.a.r.d.e.r. (forum will not let me spell it out normal )over the pins.
After drying it will leave a coat of clear arcylic over it.
Also very helpful with loose joints.
My only problem is the backpack coming loose or not tabbed in 100%.
But it is so stable, it can do my favorite sidekick

I 2nd this. My figure is the same way.

Huh, definitely issues on both my copies…
Is there a way to fix the backpack?
Dutchy79
Backpack is a thing indeed, the rest is fine on my copy
ComradeKatya
Anyone else have problems with the backpack coming untabbed too easily? I have both the Toon and Toy versions and it's the same issue on both, both also have loose feet and ab crunch…

Boom. Sets of 2.

I'll transform mine in a bit and test whether he needs 1 or 2 of the arms to support him.
EDIT:
Yep, because he's a big boy, he needs 2 arms to support him. Same with the NA Seeker stands, he's too big for just one arm.

Well NA would have probably added another $20 for a stand. The figure has no ports underneath. I image a regular Gundam stand with a claw would work.

After playing with NA Powerglide I started wondering why NA didn't give Skyfire a stand. Is there a 3rd party option for a stand for this guy?
Dutchy79
I like the NA Toon version Jetfire, I wanted it to be a bit bigger so went with NA instead of MS.
Got him for the $86 when it was first listed on with Show Z last year.
My second NA figure after toy Grimlock.
