The official Smyths Toys YouTube account have uploaded a new official turnaround video of the Transformers Legacy Leader Transmetal II Megatron.
The video shows a physical production sample of this modern representation of the Predacon Leader in his most powerful form. Additionally, we also have some new comparison shot images, via PrimevsPrime video review, with other Kingdom and Legacy toys. Megatron is quite a big Leader class toy and he looks massive next to the Deluxe and Voyager Beast Wars figures.
Watch the video as well as the new images after the jump and then sound off your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Hopefully we get a thread on whether or not it’s a real figure when it leaks! (Like way back when with OG Cryotek)

Man to me the TM2 beast Megs is so good. They have to do the Cryotek repaint. I hope they do at least lol. I think releasing it as a GS would be great and a good way for everyone to be able to get one.
Robogeek28
Top priority right here….
Fenrys
No, if anything it'll get repainted as Cryotek
jignat
Do you guys think he might be repainted I to RID 2001 /CR "Gigatron"?
HappyCryCat
Not snippy at all, but that's for the clarification to be on the safe side
I definitely am looking out for Kingdom Megs too. Only the Lord knows how many Ross's I've been to around LA…
Robogeek28
Don't worry, once he gets a package refresh this year he'll drop down a lot after a bit of time.
Patience is the key here.
Fenrys
Sorry if it came across a bit snippy, wasn't really the intention, but just to showcase its size, it's larger than Kingdom Megatron who was also a leader plus has significantly more points of articulation when you factor in both the neck and the tail and the wings

It was only my opinion, but both your counterarguments are valid. I will definitely take both into consideration.
Rakzo
Pretty damn fair since is one of the best Leader Class in recent years.
Someone could argue that he's even better than Kingdom Megatron.
Fenrys
Fair is irrelevant. It's a Leader Class figure (one of the larger ones in recent years) and that's the price of Leader Class figures.
HappyCryCat
This figure has been consistently $55 on Amazon. I hope we see a price drop some day as I can't see how $55 is fair for this figure.

You should have no problem. I painted mine so had to open up the robot head to get to the face.
Just remove the two screws on the red part that are on the one side of his head and open up the neck halves removing the head from the body. the face and transparent helmet parts are just sat in grooves and come out easily so you may want to open the head halves sideways gently if you want to see where the face and helmet are sat exactly and don't fall out on you.
I've used a few DNA upgrades and found the instructions explain things well so I wouldn't stress about assembly,
Maybe this kit works around unscrewing parts of the figure though so swapping faces out is quicker after you've initially modified the figure.
Tetratron
0/10 for no gavel.

The wig has big Shapeways energy. It's all I'd really want.
Fenrys
The tail extension and chest piece are nice on the Dragon Megatron kit, everything else I could take it or leave it, but I also don't hate the stock face.
Robogeek28
Not really feeling this one.
OCDChad
imo massive improvement in the face
Megatron_X
Sad thing is other than that bendable chest piece and the hand I see nothing I need there. The faces aren't even that great.
Dirge121
I’m slightly baffled that they didn’t do anything about the base of the dragon neck, but that aside it looks like a really solid kit.
