Third party company Fans Hobby, via their Facebook account, have revealed our first look at the color prototype of their MB-15A Powelinx Armada Optimus Prime.
This is a direct redeco of Fans Hobby MB-15 Naval Commander / Armada Optimus Prime now in a darker deco inspired by the original Powerlinx Armada Optimus Prime toy from 2003. We are sure many Armada fans will be pleased with the result. We have a look at the truck mode and the inner core robot which will feature interchangeable face plates in red or silver for toy or cartoon accuracy respectively.
Update: Fans Hobby have just shared images of the Super Mode and the Minicon partner. They also mentioned that the combined mode feet will be changed to red instead of black in the final product.
See the new images attached to this news post and then click on the respective thread in our forums to share your impressions on these new figure.

I'd contact Fans Hobby, they are really good at sending out replacement parts as long as you show them what part is it

I went to separate the super mode top from the trailer, and it took the top of the waist with it. The piece still sits on top, and it twists still, but it's not super secure. I don't remember if it used to ratchet, but it's a loose swivel nowView attachment 30158083

Wait, is waist snapping a thing? This is the first I've heard of it, and I'd like to know what I need to look out for. Mine is the second release, fwiw

Sorry for a pseudo necro bump, but the dreaded waist snap finally happened on my trailer
Not the end of the world, but it sucks. I was disassembling super mode to put the trailer in storage.
I think I could superglue it? I'm also just gonna get jetfire anyhow, so the fresh pair of legs would work.
Mine is either a first or second run. I had to get the core bot left leg sheared off right out of the box, and FH replaced it. A few years later, I'm not sure if they would replace this

Even though there are tons of repaints that most people would prefer; over the SG, I have always wanted armada prime is shattered glass, so I actually really dig this. Now waiting on the PO

Any news yet how to order the new SG version?

What timing indeed! I'm gonna be bothering FH forever after Jetfire and the Requiem team release for Spacewarp.

What timing.

I like how they just called him purple naval commander instead of giving him a new name.

That makes sense, thanks.

Oh his was first run

I don't know the details, but 3 months ago when Emgo316 reviewed Galva-Tyranno he mentioned that his 1st run Naval Commander was "falling apart" and FansHobby had sent him a new one.
TransformNRoll
What ones appeared over time?
Pcm979
Great. I knew about the breaking waist connection for the super mode, but apparently more problems cropped up over time? Anyway, I'm glad they've been ironed out.
TransformNRoll
Yes they fixed most, if not all the issues from the first run of Naval Commander
Pcm979
Say, I was looking up a few transformation videos to refresh my memory, and I ran across some mentions of the original version of this guy falling apart. I have the Powerlinx version, have they fixed whatever the problems were by then?
Curium
It is possible they will change their mind on the cab only, but they do not want to negatively impact current product sales.

I usually check TFWiki for alternate decos for projects that interest me in case there's a deco that I might like more.
I did know of Astrotrain from when I was a teen and Armada was first airing, but I only learned of Spacewarp in the last few years, or maybe when I first started using TFW, nearing a decade ago! xD
Yeah, I don't like the trailer pants but I do like Jet Convoy, so it would be nice to not have to spend money and set aside space for a trailer that I do not want.
Still, unfortunate that FansHobby has said that, but the finale deco is the best reason to make an exception, I think.
For sure, but Jetfire still seems like a ways off, anyway, and it's totally possible that we may see the Astro Blaster at tomorrow's 3P Panel to follow the already announced Star Saber and Cosmotector.
