We previously reported that Hasbro and Paramount will attend this year’s Brand Licensing Europe Expo. We also speculated that there is a chance to see Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts content at the 2022 event.
Happily, we can now confirm that Hasbro will indeed showcase Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts at BLE 2022.
Speaking to the press, Hasbro had this to say:
“Key brands on display will include Transformers, with the new animated kids’ series [EarthSpark], [and] Transformers: Rise of the Beasts due for release in 2023, as well as the first Transformers and My Little Pony hotel coming soon.”
In the UK, we have a licensing programme lined up for the upcoming Transformers: EarthSpark series, including the new pocket money partner RMS International, as well as Hunter Price with a line of fidget toys, arts and crafts, plus more.”
Brand Licensing Europe 2022 Expo will take place from September 20th at ExCel London.
Hasbro booth can be located at A211.

There were pitched, maybe written, versions of Transformers 4 without Dinobots, but when they finally convinced Michael Bay to return, it was Dinobots that won him over, thus every version of the movie after Dark of the Moon's production is that.

A brazilian fan who got to see the event and took pictures of it without permission has said that the Terrorcon logo is not Unicron's head, but instead, Scourge's own head. He also said he has no idea where the rumor that Scourge has his G1 head came from, becasue it really doesn't look much like it other than a "fiery chin" spiky that kinda looks like a goatee if you squint.
T-Hybrid
From a toy standpoint that'd be wonderful. We've gotten almost two full waves of figures from that brief scene in Bee. Imagine what we could get from some flashback with a few Predacons….
Autobot Burnout
Still a bait and switch because I guarantee more people are going to care about the Predacons than the redshirt Terrorcons.
kaijuguy19
Because they're likely going to be featured in flashbacks to help establish the Maximal and Predacon conflict as well as be shown at the end credit scene to show that they're going to wage war with the Maximals. I forgot to add that in my last post so that's my bad.
Autobot Burnout
Ah, yes, THAT quote, now I remember.
Of course…what the hell is he even talking about? Excluding Predacons Rising which wasn't really even a movie so much as a triple-length episode (it's total run time is only 66 minutes after all), there's nothing he's talking about that actually was in any of the previous films.
What's even funnier is how he says they never focused on their insignia before, despite it not actually ever having been in the films. The bug face of the predacons is notably the only faction symbol not on Scourge's hood grille, while there's like three Maximals. The closest it's ever actually been to being in the films is the ROTF Shadow Scorponok toyline only repaint, which is just one big Beast Wars homage as half the symbol is on the right claw and the number sequence printed above the pincers themselves is the premiere date of the first BW episode.
Why am I not surprised. Not like TLK did them any better, frankly.
Then why the hell even mention the Predacons are going to be in the film if they're, y'know, not really in the film?
kaijuguy19
From what I've learned and remember from the BTS of AOE the Dinobots weren't planned to be in the film originally and were thrown at the last minute thus explaining why they didn't have much screen time as characters. From what we know of ROTB that won't be the case here because they seem to be saving the Predacons for future sequels/spin offs to properly develop as characters in their own right rather then forcing them into a movie like ROTB that already has a lot of characters to juggle and risk being damaged by it and from what we could see of them in ROTB will be in flashbacks and at the end credits of the film
Music
Yep. Here's the quote: "The difference between the sort of Predacons in our film, they are more reptilian in nature. So to speak, you've seen a few in the other Transformers films, they've been like here and there, but we never got a chance to really focus in on their logo. So to speak. Their insignia, I really identify them with, to Lorenzo's point their tribe, if you will. And so we're really hitting that more. And then we get to see another side to them. Again, it's all about sort of like building a backstory to these characters."

Autobot Burnout
…have you forgotten how lobotomized the Dinobots were?
kaijuguy19
I seriously doubt that the Predacons will only be regulated into minion monsters because since Bumblebee they've really been doing a lot more to do right to the iconic Transformers characters in both personality and looks then they have before. I mean there is literally no proof of that at all happening especially when the most likely answers are either
A. They've been hired by BW Megatron who he and his Predacons are in hiding to hunt down the Maximals as well as any other faction that can potentially stop his plans for enslavement such as the Autobots and Decepticons and that by the end the Predacons decide to take matters into their own hands setting up potential sequels/spin offs.
B. They've been trapped by the Maximals years ago who have been guarding it since then and the end battle will have them be released by accident and that the Beast Wars will start anew.
Both of those answers explain why Scourge has no Predacon symbol on his grill because Scourge was either leaving Predacons off his hunt list due to his new deal with BW Megs or that the Predacons weren't around for him to hunt at the time. Besides even if there were Predacon minion monsters how do we know that they're not basically like the Beast Wars take on the Vehicons for the Predacons to do most of the grunt work while they take more center stage as characters? I mean that's honestly the type of thing I can see Tarantulas doing.
Autobot Burnout
The original press release did say that Scourge was supposed to incorperate traits from all three major users of the name previously. Obviously his basis is RID Scourge being a black Truck (possibly moreso given just who the mold originally was), he has a beard of some sort like the G1 guy, but so far the closest thing to Cybertron Scourge is reportedly he has a claw arm.
Wait, he actually said we've seen Preds in previous films when preds didn't exist in previous films? Given how he indirectly confirms things like Mirage's "more than one alt. mode" likely refers to the bit where he duplicates himself (hence the multiple Porches seen on a live set simultaneously), and Scorponok is some form is in the film based on that toy set…god this movie just keeps getting dumber and dumber with all the stuff that's coming out.

So has anything been revealed, yet?

Because I find that fighting off a bunch of creatures to be a boring trope. It's just an excuse for the heros to get in a high kill count. And it's repetitive. I very much would prefer the final battle to be with actual characters. Just some good 'ol a group of good guys versus a group of bad guys. Far more interesting when there's some bickering involved between the two sides.
Jetbolt
Or perhaps Gigatron
T-Hybrid
I mean, why not? Maybe this time we'd get a proper transforming version out of it.
Music
If the final battle just consists of them fighting off a bunch of '07 Scorponok clones, that would be incredibly lame. Now thinking about it, Caple did say we already saw Predacons in previous films. Now I'm thinking he was alluding to Scorponok…
That was speculation based off of his robot mode design from those who were able to attend the Paramount event.
kaijuguy19
Good point. bonus point if Scourge's dragon mode has three heads to obviously homage Cybertron Scourge.
T-Hybrid
From a movie perspective it'd be cool, but from a toy perspective it may be a bit much (hell may be a bit much for the movie too). Having Scourge as a big bad taking on a dragon form towards the end would set him apart though.
kaijuguy19
I think so. It'd be one heck of a way to homage all three villains carrying the name Scourge. Wouldn't also be a bad thing for the other Terrorcons to have a similar thing going on especially when going up against the Maximals in ROTB.
T-Hybrid
Wasn't there a rumor at some point Scourge had both his alt and a dragon mode?
That said, if the Terrorcons have animalistic traits, that'd be a great reference to the Decepticons from RiD2015.
