Via PrimeVsPrime on Youtube, we now have new in-hand images of the upcoming Transformers Studio Series SS-92 Deluxe The Last Knight Crosshairs.
This is another new mold for the Studio Series The Last Knight line and it brings us a pretty poseable and movie-accurate robot mode which tries to recreate Crosshairs’ trench coat. Alt mode is pretty solid and realistic licensed Corvette Stingray. We also have several comparison shots next to The Last Knight Premier Edition Deluxe Crosshairs and several other Studio Series The Last Knight toys.
Check all the images after the jump, as well as PrimevsPrime review, and then let us know if your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

i have stopped trying to find them local
i still have empty shelves that use to have wave 3 kingdom
BIGGUY007
Wish I were that lucky. In my neck of the woods, it seems like I see wave 3 hit the shelves near me while other places are getting wave 5.

These are ones made to test the factory at production level and to test the machine qc not the figure qc. Material would be suspect. In the past final coloring was different from retail versions of figures.
Even though it could be a failed figure qc we will never know for sure but it's why I rarely watch early reviews too many unknowns of the figure

Thing is these aren’t the throwaway test ones that use different plastics, these are usually finalized ones. They’re 99% identical to the release.
troglodyteman217
Not wrong but I wouldn't expect an early sample to have the same plastic as the final product as it's still in testing phase. I just think it's still expected for early copies as they more often than not a massive gamble.
octobotimus
I mean plastic quality and QC are two different things. A QC reject could have defective molding, lost joints, or paint, but more often than not it’s still the same exact plastic and quality of plastic you’ll get on release. It’s not like the plastic somehow going to be more dense.

Forgot to post this here:
Not something we haven't seen but it's good to have.
I find it dumb how he complains about plastic quality when the figure is a failed QC sample. Of course he cannot admit it but yeesh
John TheDestroyer
Ah that's a bummer. Thanks for checking though
f-primusunicron
well thats disappointing
still want it but that really was going to change the figure from a maybe to a must

so in short, I don’t think it’s possible sorry! The bumper plate is too damn big and the hinges wont go over it. The only way it can be kinda done, would be to pop off the kibble at the back & then flip the bumper but even then it’s a clearance issue and doesn’t look great
LZSchneider
Oh that's good nobody argued.
JonzyYT
Not that there was a 5 page long argument about it
LZSchneider
I'm not sure if anyone's noticed but this figure seems a bit thin when viewed from the side.
John TheDestroyer
@PrimeVsPrime I have this question also! Here is a simple visual, the best I can do lol. Can these panels fold out at the circled hinges to have the car sides form the sides of his trench coat? And pics of it possibly?

Sideswipe wasn’t more paint, it was a reverse application. One was light paint on dark plastic, the other was the opposite. Pros and cons. For Crosshairs the equivalent would be molding him in blacks and grays, and then adding green paint… which could look dope… but might require too much paint. Sideswipe only needs one color for altmode mode, to crosshairs two.
troglodyteman217
definitely think that when the aoe version happens he will get more paint similarly to what happened to sideswipe
Shadow25
I definitely feel comfortable adding *most* of the robot mode details myself… except the black striping across his legs and shoulders. I hope Reprolabels will step up for that.

Same problem that's plagued Crosshairs from the beginning (outside of the Autobots United five-pack version). That car deco sucks up all the paint budget, leaving nothing behind for the robot mode detailing.

Thats little caesars

Does anyone know someone we can ask or message primevsprime to take pictures of that in action?
