And we have quite a surprise to share with you. Hong Kong based company Kitz Concept is releasing a new line of figures from the classic Macross/Robotech series which includes transformable 1/72 Valkyrie/Veritech fighters.
We were surprised to find a listing for a limited edition 1/72 VF-1S God Of Flame in a special deco totally inspired by the G1 Jetfire toy. For those who may not know or remember it, the G1 Jetfire figure was indeed a redeco of the Takatoku Toys Macross VF-1S Super Valkyrie toy. This will be a very limited edition of only 1000 units (500 units for Japan and the other 500 for the rest of the world) with numbered boxes. Robot mode stands 19 cm and it features LED lights and die-cast.
We are sure this redeco may get the attention of both Transformers and Macross/Robotech fans. It’s listed via Kitz Robots website for $229.90 with a special pre-order price of $209.90 and expected for release in November 2022. Read on for the full product description and images and let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

"Relevant to your interests," over in the Radicons Heavy Customs section:
A thread on a scratchbuilt/kitbash 1/96 papercraft glider Jetfire/VF-1S Valkyrie… that actually flies! Plus an F-14 glider in the same scale, decorated to match a real-world Grumman prototype, with Maverick there completing the set. Scroll down in the thread for the post on Jetfire's flying characteristics as a tailless aircraft—it wasn't straightforward to get it in balance for a smooth glide!

The only review of sorts I've seen is that video posted by KC themselves. I have most of the human figures they have released so far and am happy with them. I would feel confident about ordering this one as well (assuming you like the look of the soft goods material they used for the unarmored figure). To me, they kinda feel like Figma figures.

Are there any online reviews? It's so strange how it just dropped out of nowhere, usually there are Chinese previews months before release. I'm a huge Southern Cross fan and I was excited for this but now I'm leery.
AtomicLad
Yeah, I was very surprised to get the notice, traditionally in the past folks who preordered in advance though KC usually got them before any retailers.
Slave IV
Yeah, I ordered it day one direct and supposedly, KC shipped it over 2 months ago but I ain't got shit yet. Hopefully, it'll be here soon.

Hopefully my package was on the same boat as BBTS’s shipment and I’ll have her soon as well. Along with my space tuna that is supposedly floating my way.
AtomicLad
Dana just hit my pile of loot at BBTS.

They seem to like to confuse the hell out of some of their offerings these days, lol. I assume what you'll get is what is shown in this relatively recent video. She looks like kind a bargain compared to most of their other human figures.

KitzClowncar finally delivered their Dana Sterling preorders to BBTS. Only took four years. So for all two or three of you that didn't move on yet or just forgot to cancel your orders, have at it I guess.
I have no idea what this thing is going to look like. They sold me on a plastic figure like the others but I've seen three variations of a cloth outfit so who knows what'll be in the box.

I had a feeling, plus wasn’t the Moshow shown with Toynami branding before? Anyways, that’s bad news for my wallet since I’m going to have to try at least one if it’s Moshow.
MannyFocker
It's being made by Moshow.
MasterScale
I think you may be right. Never thought about that. Those original scetches were so much more stylized (not a bad thing, just noting it) to my eye and memory. This looks really nice.
Dark Skull
Ah, so the Iron Man Mk1 Ride Armor ey?
Yeah, if the legs/exhaust are sticking way out, I'm not so sure I'd even be interested. Sentinel's Legioss spoiled me with more accurate proportions in fighter mode
Rewind
I want to be excited about the Legioss in the background but it looks like they are still hauling around the same prototype from two years ago so I doubt there will ever be progress on it.
LonelySoldierBoy
Isn't that the MoShow Mospeada (or cyclone in Robotech lingo)? Sure looks like it
Slave IV
Hopefully it is made by Toynami…so I can definitely skip it!
MasterScale
Wish I knew – I hope that a) the quality control is there, and b) it's not only available as a chromed version.
betsuni
Weird. Wonder who is making this for Toynami. Unless it is them.
