TFW’s Jtprime17 and Mr. Chaos have brought us yet another 2023 Transformers product listing today, and this time it’s for a Legacy Leader Prime Dreadwing!
This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise after Skyquake’s inclusion in our first big Legacy Year 2 leak, but it’s still nice to have confirmation nonetheless.
Let us know what you’re hoping to see out of this mold on the boards!
Magna Prime
Dude I'd be all over an animated sunstorm
Robogeek28
Yet we still don't know of any repaints/remolds for Armada Screamer yet.
RagaBM
Awesome. My aim was always to just complete the G1 cast and a few IDWs so technically I'm also (hopefully) just few years away from being done. I say years cus completing the combiners and titans are the biggest hurdle. Pun intended.
Dark Starscream
Heh-hey!!! I called it!
TF Hot Rod
There you go, my magic powers work again

I guess it depends what ones opinion is on "quick". To me, if there's repaints within a year or two, that's quick to me.
Also, we've got repaints of nearly every mold under the generations banner from seige to now so they'll of course do them.
T-Hybrid
I wouldn't assume it's Walgreens. I thought one time they asked the design team about Target always getting red figures and they went "oh yeah…that does happen doesn't it…" or something like that. Could just be an internal decision and not tied to anything Walgreens wants or cares about.
Especially when part of what determines production runs includes retailer demand and sales. It's why, despite consistently going to Clearance, Target has been expanding their Buzzworthy offerings not just beyond Bee, but to larger figures (including reissues) and boxed sets.
Target has been happy with what they're seeing sales wise, meanwhile Hasbro is trying to balance Target's demand for more Buzzworthy product with offerings that they think can sell…but also not "locking" too many popular characters in to exclusivity.
Ganon2099
I agree with you on some things.
Tow-line shouldn't have been done when a mold Machine Wars mold was done.
Fractyl, Glyph or Pathfinder, treds all of them are holes in collections
The Insecticons as a Walgreens exclusive would be terrible. A half butt medix as an exclusive is fine. Hopefully a proper rescue bots one comes in mainline.
Laser Cycle from Road rocket makes sense. Make more new bike molds before forcing another bike mold on the arcee one…

As an alternative perspective on at least 2 of those, Walgreens allegedly preferred medic based characters for Transformers exclusives, so Medix makes sense for that (I don't have a source, but it's been said many times here on the boards). As for Chromia, it might be a poor excuse for a Cyberverse Chromia, but might make for a good Animated Chromia.

Well, some stuff shelfwarms and some stuff sells out. I immediately hopped on the Scourge repaint but that’s still in stock on Pulse. A lot of folks wanted the Galaxy Shuttle repaint too. My point is: it’s hard to predict what’ll be popular and what you might think is trash, is someone else’s treasure.
Relic Hunter
I don't mind repaints but the ones we've been getting seem like bad decisions
Imagine instead of Tow-Line we got a cooler redeco like Fractyl or Glyph or Pathfinder
Instead of Medix we got another Insecticon like Ransack
Instead of Chromia from Prowl, we got a last bike Junkion to make a proper Junkasaurus
Instead of Laser Cycle we got a cooler G2 figure, there's many to choose from
Instead of all the NEST stuff we got actually cool decoes of the Bay figures, like Cyberfire Bee instead of Jeep Bee but grey, or G1 coloured SS Ratchet instead of Ratchet but black
TF Hot Rod
Agreed it’d be news to my eyes and it is endless. Also means we get an Animated TC who never got scrapped like Wasp.
Ramberk Magnus
Yes and no (imo). Most store and online exclusives are repaints or minor retools because that’s just how it has to be. But there’s still a few molds that have never gotten a repaint/retool and may never get one.
I guess my point is that we’ll never escape repaints. It comes with the territory and it comes down to Hasbro releasing appealing product from the repaints. Like, I could care less for Toxitron collection of repaints but a lot of folks loved that. So, you never know what’ll work and what won’t.
linkinparkirony
That would mean we get a new Animated Starscream mold, and after how good Ani Prime turned out, I would love that. Plus there's nearly infinite redeco potential.
TF Hot Rod
Part of it was responding to why some of those didn’t happen. But yeah stuff like Loud Pedal or Sunstorm at some point should happen. Also a Buzzsaw. What would be wild is we get Sunstorm and he’s from an Animated Starscream and we don’t get the G1 version
Magna Prime
You forgot the need for tracks to loud pedal
And stars cream to sunstorm… though I may have missed the point of this comment.

I got out of the game in late 22 and although I had the haslab on preorder I knew at the time I was done. I was collecting solidly for 12 years and it was time to call it a day.
I didn't pick up or look at a transformer in 2023 and didn't even pick up a comic. However when I heard good things about the new continuity I decided to return and coupled with DZ I got sucked back in. I also was looking to get a few I had missed out on in 2023
LeTigre
Seriously.
I’m coming to conclusion myself just because there isn’t all that much I want. If I can get Leader Swoop, the rest of the G2 Stunticons and some goddamn Omnibots I could call it quits for the most part.
They did the same with the WFC Ultra Magnus inner bot, they released only it as Prime deco as a Japanese exclusive.
Blam320
That’s literally what I just said.
Fenrys
There was also the SG Prime release without trailer and the trailer got released with Holiday Prime, VNR Prime and Netflix Nemesis Prime as well
