Third party company Newage Toys have updated their Weibo and Facebook accounts with images of the color prototype of their H46 Backdraft (Legends Scale G1 Inferno).
This is an impressive cartoon-accurate rendition of Inferno with a robot mode of only 9.8 cm tall. The ladder can collapse in the back of robot mode and it features an impressive range of articulation. It comes with 2 pairs of interchangeable hands, arm gun, rifle and a water effect.
See all the new images after the break and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

Perfect, thank you!

It scales about the same as the MP versions:

The angle is making NA Stepper look a little shorter than it actually is, but yeah, in both cases, the top of the head comes up to the bottom of Inferno's windshield. Two things- one of the more frustrating things I find about the MT mold is the hip ratchet spacing. Second, the NA version really does look like a miniature version of the MP.

Gotcha, thanks. I'd assumed as much, but didn't know if there'd been a scale change somewhere along the line.
Cheers!
Yeah, I'd looked at that picture, I just wasn't sure if that'd be the same size as the Jazz mould. Thanks again – might just treat myself to the Artfire/Stepper double-act. Probably about time I tried a NA figure, anyway!

Instead his evil super power is acting like R. Kelly. Zing!
Also… what’s the hold up on Artfire? They showed pics ages ago, but I don’t think anyone has one yet, right?

The Inferno mold scales just fine with Stepper and the other carbots. Frankly, I'd ignore the isolated chatter about NA needing to changing their scale. To be sure, some people would prefer it if NA changed the size of their carbots–since some folks like their carbots bigger than the Masterpiece/Sunbow scale NA adheres to–but there's certainly no need for NA to change what they've been doing.
Great taste in music btw.
edit: You can see how the NA Datsun mold, which is the same size as Stepper, looks size-wise with Inferno and Grapple in the post above by @JeremyGui.

So I don't own any NA toys, as I'm not a toon guy at all, but I do very much like the toylike look of Artfire (one of my favourite G1 toys). I've seen comments here and there about NA needing to redo their older carbots due to their size, so apologies if I've misunderstood and this is a really stupid question – but how well would the Newage Artfire scale with their Stepper? Cheers.

This is good to see the MS vs NA comparison because I was worried I traded down on the size going to the NA route. I never liked MS' because of the permanent hose attachment and no means to switch to another accessory or arm, which is what made the MFT enticing but was too big for scaling. NA vibrant white is a nice bonus too!

Mine finally arrived!

I am in on SG Inferno I think ….. for the right price.

Thank you kindly.

Pic request-
NA grapple or inferno with MS Prime v2? Legends of course, and I think you in advance as I understand the sacrilegious nature of my request.
Beastbot X
I was commenting on that I think the Constructicon colors work better for a SG Grapple than Hoist's. You kinda want the SG colors– if you're going to reference a Transformer– to be the opposite of the original's (think Grimlock—> Trypticon), not their buddy.
Hoffman
Yeah I'm not sure why you'd comment about another figure in a different scale working better when it's not even relevant to the scale being discussed.
Oniconvoy
Then why are you in this discussion?
Beastbot X
No, but I don't have Legends display.
DrCalligari
And seeing as how there's no actual SG Grapple I'm going to use Hauler for that.
DrCalligari
Agreed. Reminds me of Reservoir Dogs when Mr Orange is getting ready to burn the cop. The tension of someone soaked in gasoline just waiting for the fire seems so much worse.
