Taking an in-hand look at the recent Premium Scale release from ThreeZero for Transformers Bumblebee Optimus Prime. This is the larger size line, not to be confused with the also-awesome DLX scale figures which are smaller in scale and price. Premium are the big boys, meant to be centerpieces of your display. He faithfully represents Optimus’ look from the 2018 Bumblebee movie, in both his Cybertron and Earth modes due to interchangeable parts. Lights are present in the eyes and the blaster, plus he sports 140 (yes, 140) points of articulation. Every part is touched with high end paint and weathering, so he looks like he popped right off the screen and is sitting in front of you once in hand.
This is a review copy (thanks to ThreeZero for sending it through), so things may change a bit for final release. Optimus should be shipping soon, with expected delivery dates in Q3 2022 (though that can change). If you are still on the fence with him, some of our sponsors below still have him available to order.

Transformers: Bumblebee PREMIUM Optimus Prime – Quick Thoughts
Fantastic piece head to toe.
Most solid feeling figure from Threezero to date, with DLX ROTF Moves smooth, holds a pose, no breakages, nothing popped off constantly.
BIG. Just big, I still look over and think “damn” weeks after opening it.
Eye lights are once again bright and colorful, they are nailing that.
Conversion between modes is simple, quick pops or magnetic pieces.
The paint and weathering is top notch, looks high quality in any light.
I personally am fine with the non-transforming aspect for these upper end movie pieces. For me, goal with movie is to capture the screen, and this does that. He will be taking center stage in my big guys area soon. If you have the cash flow, definitely worth the pick up!
