Achieving beyond the barriers between Japan and the United States!! Crowdfunding [Hasbro crowdfunding product] Transformers Victory Saber Scheduled to be shipped in the second half of 2022 26950 yen
Perhaps because of the growing popularity of Japanese Transformers overseas, a remake of Victory Saber was realized as a large-scale crowdfunding project led by overseas. The product is in the format of the current Generation “Transformers Legacy”. Transformation. gimmicks, styling, movement, etc. will be updated with modern technology. Cleared the number of orders set as a stretch goal, and comes with a V-lock cannon, a stand, a shield used in the final episode of the anime, and 2 micro Transformers. The package with the Transformers Legacy logo may be proof that the Japanese Transformers is also recognized as one universe.
▼ Attached shield. There is a device on the back that allows you to set weapons.
▲ With the stand and effects attached. The volume of Star Saber is equivalent to Leader class toy, and the volume of Victory Leo is equivalent to Voyager class toy. The size of the V-Rock Cannon also stands out.
▼ Hori (right) and Fire redecos from the Siege Rescue Patrol.
▲ Star Saber and Victory Leo Victory combine to create the “Ultimate Supreme Commander Victory Saber” form. The toy released in 1989 was a masterpiece that became a big hit at the time. It is also worth mentioning that it is a newly developed all-original Japanese Transformer, while it is based on the modification of the master version of Optimus Prime.
Super huge jet mode. The V-Lock Cannon has a different mounting position from the G1 version toy.
A large jet form that combines Saber and V-Star.
▼ Brain of Courage. Despite its extremely small size, Saber’s face is mounted on the back in a folded form, reproducing the gimmick where the face appears when the brain is set.
A small jet that transforms into Saber. Brain fits in the cockpit.
The movable performance of Saber is also outstanding.
Thorough reproduction of the hero of justice, Star Saber!
▲ A shield can be attached to the fire base.
A fire base with a V star can also be reproduced.
The G1 version toy is a flagship item in 1989. Based on the concept of using the Super Ginrai system on an airplane, a mechanism was planned in which a small jet piloted by the Brain Master and a V-Star were combined. In recent years, he has been active in IDW comics, and is a character that has been recognized overseas. In this Generations version, the gimmick is fully reproduced as much as possible. The blade of the Saber Blade is stored in the right leg.
Victory Leo is also born in Generations!!
Armed Knight Victory Leo
The form of God Ginrai reincarnated by the science of Planet V. Even in the Generations version, it transforms into a lion and a jet booster, and is combined with Victory as a power-up part on the backpack and ankle of Star Saber. V-lock cannon can be attached to each part.
▲Lion mode.
▲Jet booster.

I will only pray hard that they will release a Masterpiece Victory Leo since Star Saber is already release in the Masterpiece series.

Can't wait to get mine

I poked a sleeping bear with some wording… I would do it again
WishfulThinking
I can easily see them doing a simplified Star Saber in the Earthspark series, without the smaller robot components. A 10-inch $30 version for kids where it takes all of 4-5 steps to transform, essentially.

The only way a new VS would happen would be a new mold in mainline down the road. I'm sure after a few years Hasbro is going to want to do a new Victory Saber, especially if they plan on doing more of the Victory cast in mainline.
Hicks_Royel
Exactly.
WishfulThinking
Someone brought up the idea. I'd be against the idea if it were a switch out of the regular product. I wouldn't care if it were plated in solid 24K gold. I'd want the product I ordered.
But make a Tier 5 as a lottery item that comes in addition to the regular product you would receive – as in you'd get normal VS AND the redeco together…yeah, I could see that being an incentive.

Boredom
SPLIT LIP
Why are we even considering the notion of a chase figure in a crowdfunding campaign?
Missing Sunset
I would not have backed Victory Saber if there was a chance-based aspect that changes the figure in the slightest. Even supplementary stuff; I don’t respect the business model.
Hicks_Royel
Of course. I didn't think we were discussing the idea of a last minute surprise scenario once orders started getting filled.
TickTockGoesTheClock
I think the chase idea is rightfully awful and has no place in a campaign like and will continue to think so till I have one in my hands. However from a purely legal standpoint, the only way this would make sense to any backer would be for the chase concept to require opting in with the knowledge that if you receive a chase, you do not get an original unless you bought more than 2.
Fenrys
Chase variants like that, especially in this scenario, could open them up to lawsuits because they would not be delivering the product that was ordered and didn't disclose the possibility of chase variants during purchasing. It would be an incredibly stupid thing to do.
WishfulThinking
I do think there might be some merit in the idea of a Tier 5 additional chase redeco that exists as a lottery to the backers, as long as it's fair.
Foster
I'd go to customer service immediately and complain that I didn't get the figure I backed and they needed to send the actual G1 character (and no, I'm not returning the incorrect one)
Hicks_Royel
True but, again as it is these days, you could probably still buy three of the regular version aftermarket for what you sell the chase for.
Don't misunderstand me, I think a chase piece in a crowdfund is a dumb idea but the silver lining for profiteering is still there.
Autobot N
But then I'd have to drop a bunch of money to get the actual Victory Saber that I wanted in the first place
Hicks_Royel
But you could turn around and try to sell it for a stupid amount of money because that's the world we live in now.
Autobot N
Yeah I would be pretty pissed if I got Nemesis VS instead of, y'know, the one I ordered
WishfulThinking
The only way a chase figure could work in Haslab is through a lottery system and in addition to the regular figure. If you randomly selected 100 people to send Nemesis VS to instead of the regular edition, there's probably going to be about 90 pissed off fans who will want their money back.
