Via Mechanic Toy Weibo we have images of the upcoming Dr. Wu x Mechanic Toy Legends Scale Night Ninja, Nursy, Snow Ninja, Mirror Ninja & Devil Amie figures.
These figures are designed by Mechanic Toy and produced by Dr. Wu. All of them are retools and/or redecos of MS-30 Amie (Legends Scale Arcee). Read on for details of each new variant.
- MS30b Devil Amie – Black and purple MS-30 Amie redeco inspired by IDW Combiner Hunters Arcee’s deco (also used in the SDCC 2015 Combiner Hunters box set). Includes gun, rifle and a gigantic sword.
- MS31 Night Ninja – Retool and redeco into G1 Nightbird. Includes 2 swords, 2 sais, 2 nunchuks, and 2 ninja stars.
- MS31m Mirror Ninja – Redeco of MS31 Night Ninja in green and orange, inspired by IDW Torchbearers.
- MS31W Snow Ninja – Redeco of MS31 Night Ninja in white “snow camo” deco.
- MS32 Nursy – Redeco of MS-30 Amie inspired by G1 Paradron Medic. Includes a gun and a rifle.

I'm a big Newage fan and own many of their figures but am I alone in preferring this collaboration to the NA effort?
i went with Magic Square for Ironhide and Ratchet too. Great to have all these quality options – there was a time when we'd be choosing our least-imperfect figures!

Well, folks, I'm honestly quite impressed with this new Arcee.
If the figure was just a little smaller, it would've replaced the DX-9 mold right away. As it is, it will fill up my evergrowing Legends+ collection.

I genuinely have zero complaints and I believe with the new face sculpt – whenever it will come out – this Mechanic Toys / Dr. Wu Arcee will look pretty much perfect.

You mean her toy concept colors? MMC released their Ocular Max Azalea figure in that color scheme as a TFCon exclusive. I have one, it’s a terrific figure.

I recently picked up Kup for about $25. I went back and forth on it because I also felt that he looked dated and needed a v2 upgrade but didn’t know if they were gonna do one like they did Springer. So I picked him up just to complete the look. He’s not bad but definitely due for an upgrade.

amie is in their MS series of original figures, which in my experience have all been solid with hollowness being almost always functional.
I've only experienced cheapness and hollow bits in their MF series which are as far as i can tell all oversized KO's.

How can any Arcee not have good articulation?
Most of them are shellformers, i.e. their robot mode is independent of their car mode.
One thing I like about Amie is that it doesn't have hollowed out hips (or other places) that many MFT figures suffer from (to save plastic material).
This is something that's turning me off for MFT.
