I don't mind the gender swapping, but I'd love something like what IDW did with the holomatter avatars and just get human versions of characters (male or female) to get fun interpretations of these characters. Stuff like this:

Yep, those are (extremely simplified) transformation steps.
There's a bunch of review videos of the figure on YouTube already, if you're curious about what he looks like and how he transforms.

Thanks for confirming. What is their 2nd pic then? Midway thru transformation?

Just noticed this on the Megs statue. Koto even recreated those "colors" on her belt buckle that cna be found on the Robot version's abdominal 6 pack.

Am.I seeing this correctly? Blackouts tail boom sticks out 6+" behind him in bot mode?

Would anyone care to enlighten me where "Dark Amber" came from? I'm aware of the source of the repaint, but I'm simply wondering where 'Dark Amber' in particular came from.

Typically the license holder has to approve everything that is made. In these days where brand image is held very dear, third party companies are usually never given free reign.
So, of they are doing a Nemesis, it should have to be approved by Hasbro. But, there shouldn’t really be any reason they would veto it unless they deemed it unsuitable for the Transformers brand.
Bishoujo has had a partnership with Hasbro for around a decade now, so I doubt they are any issues between them and we recently learned that the person doing them at Kotobukiya actually pushed to Transformers herself.

I'd be so down for figma versions of those.

I'm curious how rights even work for the Bishoujo redesigns. I assume ultimately the licensor does own them, but does Kotobukiya still have some control over how they're reused? As they've done a LOT of stuff that people would probably buy as posable toys.
In any case their concept artists/sculptors are top notch for said statue line indeed.

I wish Figma did a lot more. They are the perfect quality figure in my opinion. If these were Figma’s I’d had pre-ordered them, any other releases day one.

I wish those statues were actual poseable figures. That'd be a pretty cool little sublne.

Just about everything with this Lio release is a why;why January, why a general release, why no real promotion. I could understand, if he came with the Artimus figure that was originally teased, but its like they are perfectly okay with this going on deep discount. Going to be upsetting if this is what they waste a production spot on, and not some much-needed reissues.
