Walmart Collector Con is live for day 1, with a lot of items being made available and immediately selling out or not showing up in search results, even an hour later. We’ll try to round up what we can below so you can check back in a search for stock. If you want to torture yourself, hit their main page and refresh non stop until you can find what you want, then be angry it’s sold out.
In addition, Hasbropulse has some of the Hasbro items available as well available for Premium members. That went smoothly for me here, so thank you Hasbro.

Congratulations! I am happy to see things worked out well in the end. Pity the whole ordeal appeared to be so haphazard.
How could Walmart resolve these issues going forward? Would locking in the product line, opening an pre-order window like Limited Run Games, and then manufacturing based upon pre-order and expected store demand work better? I know nothing, just spitballing because my trust in Walmart pre-ordering is at about 20% given only two of the five items I pre-ordered ever shipped.

Mine from Walmart was also finally delivered this week.

Rise from your grave… again… just got my order of Cosmos from Walmart today…View attachment 29771554

I know it’s frustrating lol. I was lucky cause it was out of stock on Walmart Canada but I managed to check it when there was a brief period of it being back up for preorder. Good luck with finding one for a not insane price!
Oh and I think some minibots may be, specifically the retools like Outback from 86 Brawn. They’d make sense as exclusives.
Pencilerobo
Good luck! Wish I would have gotten in on pre-orders while Cosmos was still available. Who knew I'd get back into buying Transformers because of an awesome Cliffjumper figure, then get stuck searching for a rare Walmart Soundwave – and it's winding down with a rare Cosmos of all characters…
Can't I just buy my dumb characters in peace? I hope no other mini-bot upgrades are as difficult to come by. I'm really enjoying my chonky bois getting big fancy toy versions.
JazzAlert13
So now apparently my Cosmos has shipped out… haven't been charged though yet. As of now I am cautiously optimistic about getting him. If I do then that is 3/3 of my VS5 wants (Scourge, Override, Cosmos). It'll be 4/4 if I get my hands on Shadowstrip next wave. Not bad for a line I was worried about getting at all.
Also Override… great figure! Not 100% sure she fully earns her voyager price but I do love her.
JazzAlert13
Damn… feel left out now that I still haven’t even gotten a shipping notif lol.

Just to follow up I received my Cosmos and it was in fact Cosmos and not essential oils or anything like that. So have hope .ca folk

Here's the sighting that changed everything.
Yakface.com on Twitter: "Walmart exclusive Black Series 1-JAC and Purge Trooper (Phase II) hitting Canada (Regina, Saskatchewan) #hasbro #blackseries #starwarsblackseries #walmart #obiwankenobi #starwars – image via Rich K. – 6”Black Series Collectors ((Star Wars)) – FB Group https://t.co/x2ITWBWLZp" / Twitter
No offence, but I actually laughed at the comments. And normally I despise South Park.

Yeah, definitely good for brick and mortar customers; but pants on head paste eating stupid for customers looking forward to the convenience of shopping online. Same boat for me. I purchased 3/4 of the figures I ordered online in person. Fortunately I have a commute that allows me to intersect with a nearby Walmart on my way to work.

I mean 2 of the Walmart Exclusives (Not Transformer related) that went up for preorder on the 21st, but a week later it was already spotted at Canadian retail and I ended up finding them a couple of days later.
Pencilerobo
Canadian Walmart holds true to their word, the risk is in they ship via aggressive pavement poopers. You'll have to fight that Canadian goose for your Cosmos.
JS_Prime
Nice to know Canadian Walmart keeps their word. I still await a first report of US Walmart shipping a Cosmos. We're just a little over one month away from the meltdown of all the preorders getting cancelled
Gastrotrain
Mine shipped earlier this morning too, so adjust your hope accordingly
JazzAlert13
You have given me new hope that mine will eventually ship out.

Just got my notification my cosmos was shipped from Walmart Canada.

My experience with Road Rocket was only slightly different.
1. Pre-order confirmed
2. Shipping delayed
3. Found Road Rocket in store a month after delay announced
4. Bought Road Rocket in store
5. Pre-order cancelled
Ikkstakk
I received Burnout yesterday.

I preordered Cosmos, Override, and Scourge. I got Scourge on time, after Walmart delayed the other two to October. Then Override was delivered this weekend, a month ahead of the delay estimate. Cosmos remains MIA since Walmart prioritizes physical stores over committed preorders for reasons™
Pencilerobo
I only received Scourge. Overdrive was scheduled to ship, but I found her in store. Clampdown and Burnout I found in store and canceled my pre-orders.
It's very sad that my optimism was seemingly misplaced, and Walmart still hasn't sorted out online shopping despite being a major American retailer that wants to compete with Amazon. The harebrained execution of having local stores as distro centers for online orders is a good idea on paper, but clearly needs refinement to prioritize items paid for in advance process to paying customers instead of the seeming willy nilly throw whatever is left out of the retail floor. There are too many American retailers that screw the pooch on this pre-selling business model, e.g. video game retailers who would never commit to the seller / buyer relationship of "I pay in full for an item, and as the item is paid for in full I receive priority over the customer that is using pre-orders as layaway." Those companies should have gone out of business years ago.
Barring Walmart getting it's sh*t together, I'd rather Hasbro just do these exclusives with reputable online retailers like Amazon or even BBTS. I've had no problem obtaining Amazon exclusives and as I'm not interesting in hunting for frivolous luxury items, I've resorted to just pre-ordering through BBTS instead of dealing with retail supply issues.
