Via Bilibili user 流沙鸢盘 we have our first in-hand look at the new Transformers Legacy Titan Class Cybertron Universe Metroplex.
The lastest entry in the Titan class size: Metroplex, is inspired by his Transformer Cybertron incarnation. A massive figure for sure in any of his modes. We can see him in his bucket-wheel excavator, work mode and his tallest robot mode. A simple but fun transformation with some new ideas like a an alternative head for the work mode. It’s good to notice that both work mode and main robot heads have light-piping. We also have some comparison shots next to Legacy Menasor and Masterpiece Shouki for you to see how tall he is in his full robot mode.
Don’t forget that Cybertron Metroplex was already found at US retail a few hours ago. See the images, as well as a video review, and let us know if you will add Metroplex to your collection!
Shatterpoint
Got him in today, ratchets are hella tight, almost giving me Trypricon flashbacks so this might be one to watch out for.
But real good otherwise! Just need his Minicon buddy.

Oh, I need mah boy! I need my boy who transforms into Bagger 288!

I'm going to be keeping an eye on the Warehouse to see if any MISB collectors start returning them as "damaged" due to dents in the box or more meticulous collectors sending back what they construe as "damage" with regard to paint apps or smudges.
It's how I got Rodimus for nearly 40% off. That'd be quite the hefty savings on Metro. Probably the only way I'd buy him, too.
RangerXML
They will cancel it before it ships, in store you can force it through, but I have never actually seen such a price error go through.
Hoptimus
Keep a close eye in case someone at Amazon accidentally makes it 19.99!
T-Hybrid
Amazon's been bouncing prices up and down between the old and new points on figures for a while now. It's…very weird.
Hoptimus
Well, he's out of stock at the 2 stores I usually go to, as well as all my nearby Targets.
And, oddly, he went from 189.99 to 199.99 on the Target app/site. Not cool, Target. 199.99 on Amazon too.

His robot mode is cool, very imposing and very accurate to the show
The squat almost SD mining robot is passable
That last transformation, stopped me dead in my tracks
£50 on clearance and I would have to think about it
Hoptimus
Might get him tomorrow, I have about $250 worth of wheel hubs for my car that I thought needed to be replaced, but I'm returning them.
Big fan of Cybertron, and Metroplex in particular. This is going to be so awesome.

Man the OG looks tiny compared to this one, and he towered over most of the other Cybertron/Galaxy Force toys to begin with.

WishfulThinking
I think that also had to do with Toys R Us liquidation at the time. Pallets of stock that were ordered for the holidays (and not paid for) were sitting in U.S. warehouses with nowhere to go. With TRU defaulting on payments, Hasbro sold the stock to discounters just to get rid of it.
I'd be surprised if we ever see pallets of cheap titans ever again unless a major retailer that contracts with Hasbro suddenly collapses. But we're talking either Walmart, Target or Amazon. I don't see any of those going down anytime soon.

I was initially in on this because I truly like the original Cybertron Metroplex.
Now, unless I can get it on deep discount, I'm not interested. If it were $120-150 retail, then yeah, I could justify it. At $200 with no partner and a lack of personal attachment to the AEC trilogy, instant pass.
Incidentally, the last Titan Ollie's sold was Trypticon. Omega Supreme and Predaking never went to deep discount (that $50 Omega Supreme sale in Carlisle PA doesn't count).

Already happened and he was barely supported. Doubt we will get another until we get a new Fortress Maximus 10 years from now.

I’m happy all the Unicron trilogy guys are happy, I’m still hoping for a Grandmaximus to come out.
