3rd party company DNA Design have taken to their Facebook page this morning to once again reveal a new product, that being the DK-35 upgrade kit for the Studio Series TF1 Voyager Megatron figure.
Featuring a new chest piece and a cannon, the kit overall makes him more accurate to the movie design and we think many movie fans will be interested. It is expected to be released in November of this year.

Huh, I just wondering last week whether there was a 3rd party add-on to give this figure a movie-accurate chest. Lo and behold, it gets announced several days later. haha
Now I need to get the figure to go with the kit.

You gotta swap the whole part out. Unscrew the big chest part from the back, then unscrew the arms and then replace all the parts.

Wow it\'s so simple, but the chest piece just really fills out the rest of the figure and makes him look really clean I might actually consider picking up this megatron figure.

It is all doable by screwdriver mostly. And remove the head along with neck hinge. (No pins at all)

I\'m confused with the chest plate. Does it just slip on? Or is it something you have to switch out parts for, like with other upgrade kits IE studio Series ironhide\'s feet and bumper?

The upgrade kit really does give him that intimidating hulking presence the Studio Series was originally lacking. It would be nice if they had made some shoulders with longer spikes though and a way to cover the gaps in his torso. He still looks really good though.

Yeah, If Hasbro had sold CW Computron's hand and feet as add-ons, I'd buy A LOT of those. I don't think they would sell upgrade kits like this DNA one, though.

Yeah Hasbro could make bank off of core class upgrade kits. Or maybe even deluxe/voyager class kits if they go crazy enough like DNA Designs used to.

Since the Shockwave and Scorponok kits, DNA has released a lot of crap and garbage sets as part of their gear master series. I gave up on them again, but if this is like the SS Shockwave kit quality, i may reluctantly try one more time.
