Via TF Robots Facebook we have our first look at the packaging of the new Transformers Buzzworthy Bumblebee Legacy Voyager Dinobot (Toy Deco).
We have our first look at the box of this new release which is pretty similar to what we had seen in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee Terrorsaur packaging. While this is a Buzzworthty Bumblebee style packaging, the box shape is similar to the Legacy trapezoidal boxes with a Legacy logo on top and a completely new beast mode art in the front. It’s labeled as “Heroic Maximal Dinobot” and the deco is inspired by the original Beast Wars Dinobot toy from 1995. This figure will be a Target exclusive in the US.

Fox Kids ‘99 Dinobot would have gotten points for such a deep cut, but in all likelihood would have looked too similar to Kingdom Dinobot.
For a long time that FK figure was my only Dinobot, as the ‘96 edition was long gone from retail by the time I began collecting.

I think you're saying Hasbro are definitely aware of Fox Kids Waspinator being repurposed into Buzzbomb.
I'm not sure about that. I think they could find out about it if they have somebody do a deep dive on the TF Wiki, but I don't know if anybody working on the Transformers brand, right now, is aware of what-became-who for fiction-only material like Beast Wars Uprising.

At the very least, I cannot see Hasbro not knowing by now that Fox Kids non-Transmetal Waspinator became the character Buzzbomb.

I don't know if Hasbro remembers 2003 Beast Wars Grimlock, but I know I would definitely buy a modern voyager Dinobot in, either, that colour scheme or the 1999 Fox Kids colour scheme

The only real difference is the liberal use of gold instead of chocolate brown, both decos have the eyecatching bloody red streaking on the dino hide.
Maybe one for a future Buzzworthy Bumblebee 4-pack?

I wonder if there is a chance anyone at Hasbro still remembers the old 2003 Walmart Dinobots Grimlock figure, the Beast Wars Dinobot redeco in Armada-style packaging whose line was never meant to have any fiction, save for some unrealized loose idea to be featured in the contemporaneous Universe War storyline at not-BotCon.

This toy looks like a flaccid penis that transforms into a less-flaccid penis. I've been startled every time I've encountered it in the toy aisle.

I never buy repaints. Like… (almost) never. But this one, I just had to get. Some people feel like the pink is a little too light and fleshy, but I really like this toy repaint of Kingdom Dinobot.
Not only is the color placement (nearly) spot on, the updated toy headsculpt is freaking amazing, and the slit-pupil eyes make the dino mode so much better. Oh, and the waist/leg joints not being in a different color makes the dino mode much more cohesive.
It's really weird, because I kinda prefer this repaint to the original? We already have a super-accurate MP version of the show Dinobot, and I'm far more forgiving of the chest and back kibble on the repaint because the only thing to compare it to is the original toy.

Same cause he’s one of the 3 og BW toys (now 4 with Cybershark being reissued) I own and he’s only missing his mutant mask and it would be neat to have this guy next to him even if he’s kept in box. I do hope we get a reissue BW Dinobot at some point though m.

Even knowing he yellows, I still find myself wanting this. Dinobot was one of the first toys I ever got as a kid and I was obsessed with it and that headsculpt in Dinobot colors is really working for me.
Can you Brickseek this guy or does he not officially exist in Targets system yet?
