Third party company Newage have shared, via their Weibo and Facebook accounts, images of their new H34EX Hephaestus (Legends Scale Devastator Toy Version).
This is another special redeco of Newage’s H34 Hephaestus now featuring a G1 toy-inspired deco which include some extra details as a new head cannon. Similar to the previously revealed H34Y Hephaestus (Legends Scale G2 Devastator), it will be sold as a gift pack including the six Constructicons, combiner parts, gun, head cannon and two drills.
We still have no concrete information about price or release date, but stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates. Click on the bar to see the mirrored images and then join to the ongoing discussion on the 2005 Board!

I have my Scavenger's arm curled but not flat against the shoulder, like in his vehicle config. Don't keep Mixmaster's toes inside though.

Anyone else configure their EX Devy to look closer to the toy?

Yeah I did the opposite, MS as individual and NA combined. Just because I need a Devastator that’s really fun to mess with and I got frustrated handling MS. Plus I think the individual bots are better with MS.

Yeah, Magic Square's combiners definitely look the part, but it'll take an hour at least to go from the individual robot modes to combined mode. It's why I have Magic Square as my Devastator and NewAge as my Constructicons.

Longhaul is my fav of the bunch and also my fav G1 Constructicon, so I'm glad they did him so well!
Stardiver
Hm okay thanks, I shall have a look tomorrow! Just uncombined them cos the individual bots are mostly excellent. Mixmaster's new legs aren't the most stable, and Hook's collar preventing head articulation sucks, but the other four are pretty much perfect. Longhaul in particular is just so dynamic looking! Very happy.

the ratchets help a ton for stability and increased range of motion, more teeth so less outward movement for each click. I just swapped out the EX ratchets on mine today to good effect:

For me MS Devastator is very similar to Movie Devastator because bulky but transforming him from vehicle modes kept me a whole afternoon .
Instead NA has been relaxing and fast and although is too slender , still is very similar to 'Master builder' Devastator, one of better styles in G1 animations of the character.
Stardiver
Yeah okay, this is a much more fun set than MS'. Was turned off by the one piece back at release but having had MS' since then and then Bruticus and Menasor I've gotten a newfound appreciation for onesies. Much more fun to handle and more stable.

I'm guessing the silver screws are to replace the ones in Mixmaster and Scavenger, but the instruction video said to reuse the originals so I did. Not sure about the ratchets? More teeth than the originals on Devy or just spares?
Just makes me hope we get another combiner from NA this weekend!
NB: Need better lighting in this house. LED spotlights are awful for lighting, have to use flash or photos are just too dark.

I hope that at least one Diaclone or Shattered glass boxset will be announced soon.
Both of them would be a good chance for NA,considering how many different versions of several characters created ,if EX and G2 sold well then nothing can stop it.
I think they should have sold well because for several months both boxset were sold out and then restock within short time at Showzstore so maybe were even reissued.
Stardiver
Still less than £35 per bot, ignoring shipping and the leg upgrades! Gonna free them after dinner.
Mechman42
$200 is average so that’s not too bad of a late tax.

Hah I mean it looks cool but I just dont think it fits in unless you have other weathered figs to go with it. Maybe if I had the weathered Omega, but I already have the toon version. Yeah the prices vary alot though. Some retailers want over $300 for the set and thats without the upgrade kit.
Stardiver
Yeah I paid £207.5, about $264, for mine from ebay so probably overpaid a little, though it does include the leg upgrade so probably not awful overall? But in the end I'm just super stoked it's waiting for me at home and I don't have to wait for a reissue
Bosserbot
You may also try finding the separate parts to it across various retailers.
I'll let the comment slide about settling for the dirty deco He really does look incredible all weathered up
RameezTheElite
They have done reissues in the past. If you really want one badly, some of the prices on eBay or not that bad. Seen some go for excellent prices
Mechman42
There’s a solid chance, newage does reissues pretty often. Devastator is big enough that they may not want to invest in that though.
kazosan
Does the original toon version ever come back in stock or is it strictly limited to aftermarket now? I am not a huge fan of the EX or G2 and I don't want to settle for the weathered version if I'm able to get the toon set.
Stardiver
My Toon set arrived from ebay alongside Bluestreak and Insecticons, gonna be a long few hours til work ends!
