The Decepticons have the upper hand. Cybertron is falling. And Optimus Prime has an imploder-possibly the most dangerous Cybertronian-built weapon in history-to his head. This is the Autobots last stand. But what does triumph look like in a desperate situation? The War for Cybertron may end here, but the Autobots and Decepticons aren’t done yet!

Originally I was tasked to do 16 pages, but the pain from the spine infection prevented that and I only was able to do 8 pages.

All the more reason to treasure those 8 outstanding pages and that incredible RI cover.

Each of those pages was a real highlight for me.

Why did they use the orange-grey Generations Jhiaxus design for him, when the new toy is just out and likely Hasbro told them well in advance (as we saw with the Wreckers comics having Hauler and Leadfoot).
Plus, he is just some grunt here?

Thanks. I dropped this comic like 2 issues in and have not read it since then, did not like either the art or the writing. I only kept track via previews and it just felt weird where this has gotten when originally it seemed to be just a retelling of the show with two new OCs dropped on the teams.

For free is how I read ALL comics. I buy a TPB or collected edition AFTER I know they are good. 'cause I am not gonna spend money on things without knowing they are good. Hence why I only go to theaters for movies that I have ascertained from trailers and my knowledge of the writer/director that I will likely will like.
And no, the BW comic was so mediocre I stopped reading it early on. I kept up only via previews and synopses here and there but this whole thing with new characters appearing left and right seemed like a new development, the last new character I saw in this series in the previews was Razorbeast.

Ruckley has said before that many of the characters he used, like the core members of Team Stream, were chosen independently and without direct input from Hasbro. He just liked them in Cyberverse. Many of the characters he used fill narrative roles similar to those in earlier stories. Put simply, in the case of Jhiaxus, it's almost certainly coincidence rather than planning.

According to the wiki Jhiaxus first appeared in 2019, which would have been long before his Legacy toy was finalized. The Generations version was his most recent toy at that point.

The curtain falls! Wanna say huge thanks to everyone who's read along (heck, to everyone who tried it, even if you didn't stick!). Been an amazing experience, and very grateful for support and steady steering from @TomWaltz, @IDW_David_M and @rileysauruss along the way…

and very grateful for an amazing bunch of artists, colorists, letterers who've brought it to life, all in their own uniquely awesome ways. Every single one played their part. Too many to namecheck all, but I don't think the rest'll mind to much if I say…

seeing what @Anna__Malkova brought to this project was, for me, the best part of most months. A rare talent, who I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have been paired up with.
