I caved and ordered a copy off of Amazon. I just opened my Shouki today and, as awesome as he looks, I think he'll look more awesome with that sticker!

I just got my copy today in Tokyo, and upon closer inspection of the stickers I noticed,
There are two ‘MPG’ logo stickers that have been printed in two versions, one with the Autobot faction symbol, the other with the Decepticon faction symbol.
Was that just an action on Figure King Magazine’s part, to add variety, or was it an Easter egg deliberately showing us the future of the MPG line, with other combiners on the table…
I’m looking at you Devastator

Takara tends to do anniversaries different the 35th actually spanned 2 years. Maybe 3 and the last the beginning of 2024 unless they plan on not announcing anything else next year.
Some poor soul picked up his Figure King and found the stickers he wanted missing, someone had ripped them out

Holy shit, that means 4 train bots in 2023!

I’m not sure if this was already reported or not, but in this issue of figure king, on page 107 (I’ve attached a screenshot close-up of the paragraph), it was written that we can expect masterpiece Raiden to be completed within the next year 2023, as part of the 40th anniversary of the original Raiden figures (the pre-transformers Diaclone ‘Train Robo’ team of 6, released in 1983).
Here is the passage of interest, mentioning this, translated to English:
…The origin of the toy goes back to the Diaclone "Train Robo" released in 1983. The popular vehicle at that time was transformed into a "Trainbot Blockbuster”.
Forty years after its birth, you should expect MPG Raiden, which has the added charm of Showa Retro !! …
(‘Forty years after it’s birth’ brings us to 2023)
(‘Showa’ is the period between 1926-1989 in the Japanese empirical year system – it is often referenced in Japan for the decades between 1950’s to 1980’s)

It’s a sticker sheet that comes with the magazine.

So the stickers are only available inside the figure king magazine? I can't tell if that is an actual sticker sheet or an image showing the included sticker sheet.

Whoever did that shot deserves a raise. Also, it's insane seeing a titan class figure with an actual ab crunch! Usually this price point is more than what I'm comfortable spending on a single toy, but I might not be able to resist this time. I did always like Cybertron Metroplex' design.

The perspective shot used here seems to be an intentional reference ^

The magazine scans are always a treat. Thanks for sharing!

It's cool that there's still a market for toy magazines in Japan.
There's something about looking at toy pics in a physical magazine that just hits differently.
SPLIT LIP
Same. I just want the tiny Wheeljack.
If anyone doesn't want the minifigs hit me up.

Damn…. I'd really like to have those mini figures that come with Jetfire…..
Thundershot
Man I can’t wait for Megalo Convoy, but I dread the yellowing white plastic lottery on this one…
Electro Rush
These pics make me kinda want to get that Metroplex now.
G1 Grimlock
I choose Motormaster
Neko-bot77
He should have amazing articulation. His entire transformation is a basic yoga pose. There aren't any transformation mechanics to inhibit poseability.
