Hot on the heels of the reveals of the Transformers brand live stream, now Hasbro designers Mark Maher and Sam Smith are treating us with some new images and turnaround videos of the new Legacy Velocitron Speedia 500 line.
First, Mark “Markclonus” Maher have shared on his Instagram account a great group image of samples of the new Velocitron Road Hauler, IDW Blurr, Clampdown, Burnout, G2 Road Rocket, G1 Cosmos, Cybertron Override, and RID Scourge.
Then, Sam “King Samlock” Smith have uploaded on his Instagram account several CAD files turnaround videos of Road Hauler and RID Scourge in robot and vehicle mode for your viewing pleasure. To top it all, he has also added information about the development process of both figures on each video.
You can see the mirrored images, the turnaround videos and Sam Smith’s comments after the jump. Then join to the ongoing discussion on the 2005 Boards!

This month sometime – they were vague on the livestream.

Any estimate when these guys will go up on Walmarts site?

Definitely digging this take on Cosmos. Slightly better 'mats, some changes to the exhausts near the hands and you could have an MP Cosmos there. Would like to see him next to MP-45.

This is a pretty good argument. Multiverse in transformers, now theres a movie id like to see!

Even the good guys can have a few psychopaths in their ranks every once in a while.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.. my headcanon is that SG Wheeljack discovered the G1 universe and found a way to go there. He changed his name to Slicer and became an Action Master… so they’re one and the same.
NexMix
No, they just prioritized making a Slicer and didn't care much at all for SG in this case

I feel like it's sort of a double-billed figure. Like how Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus could be seen as Delta Magnus/Powered Convoy (the Diaclone Ultra Magnus), Shattered Glass Magnus, or Magna Convoy. This figure is being double billed as both original Decepticon Action Master Slicer and as Shattered Glass Wheeljack.
As long as you can remove the SG Decepticon Symbol, you could easily go to Toyhax to find a replacement to make it how you want it.
Foster
No, I feel like they're offering two balls by letting the buyer determine the identity themselves.

So
Evil Decepticon Slicer

Heroic Decepticon Slicer

But they are in the same colors with a few minor differences and Shattered Glass Wheeljack already has Slicer colors.
Does anyone else feel like they are dropping the ball with the identity of this Slicer? Sure the toy does look good, but why not just release it as evil Decepticon Slicer outside of the SG line, or as evil Autobot Wheeljack if they wanted to have these colors on the Wheeljack mold?

Props to them for not doing the BB remold idea. The less shellformers the better.

If I'm being honest here the bee retool looked better than the finished thing

All in all this sub-line's given us some awesome figures. Love how Burnout looks, Cosmos looks pretty great, Road Rocket and Clampdown look good… and actionmaster Slicer too? Rad.
It took me a comical amount of time to realize the weaponizer repaint he comes with his meant to be his exo-suit, hell I'm sure with a few of those some mad lad could make him an actual mech suit.
Fc203
Wouldnt mind if it was an origins bumblebee retool if it meant a slimmer cosmos.
JazzAlert13
Omg he was originally an origins bee retool huh. Thankfully it didn’t happen.

Do you believe?!?!Here he is folks, in all of his cybertronian glory! COSMOS!
.
Lets get into it! For capsule programs and the mainline as a whole, we have certain allocated funds for new molds. I wanted a Cosmos badly, to further finish the deluxe minibots collection, but just because I love this guy. His voice, design aesthetic, colors, and especially his alt mode are all
.
Swipe right and you will see how I sold him in as a partial tool using the Origins BB mold. He would of been more of a new rendition of him. I just didnt think a g1 version of him was possible with the tooling allocated. But TT made it happen All NEW in 3 molds!!!
.
Ittoku Kuwazu worked closely with Hasui Shogo in making this guy the best Cosmos evah! I chimed in on making the flag alt as a blaster and really worked hard on getting the proportions as close to his animation appearance as possible. As you can see from block model to final look, alot had to happen. But with our great partnership this guy is ready to officiate the speedia 500.
.
Let me know who you are routing for to become the new leader of Velocitron!!!

I'll be honest I haven't read the new SG comics yet (on my to do list frankly) so I'm not sure what he actually has in the comics.
The Botcon toy released as Slicer (as it came with his name and bio) but was made to actually be both Slicer and Wheeljack (who had already used the Slicer deco and Energon Downshift Body in earlier comics) with purple Decepticon insignias on the doors for Slicer and the existing sculpted Autobot insignia painted purple for Wheeljack; the comic for that Botcon also had bot characters appear with Wheeljack in a non SG universe posing as future Slicer to deceive Slicer himself.
So this to say a purple Decepticon logo isn't really wrong if the figure is used as regular Slicer. Going off the wiki though his insignia is actually colored pink like the original Slicer toy but since he's a spy in the IDW SG comics according to the wiki a red con symbol would be right as well?
So I guess TLDR he has like four different possible insignia/color combinations that would all be "correct"
ScorponokIsHere
Obviously??? But I'm responding to somebody who claimed the Wreckers miniseries refers to Road Rocket as a dude. It does not.
Thundershot
Right. I can see them repacking Cosmos and Clampdown as they were the short packed ones of the first round.
