As it was previously announced, Pluto TV new free streaming Transformers channel is live now.
Pluto TV is an Internet television service owned and operated by Paramount Streaming, a division of Paramount Global. The new Transformers channel content on Transformers TV includes such fan favorites as “Transformers: Bumblebee Cyberverse Adventures,” “Transformers: Prime” and “Transformers: Robots in Disguise.” The streaming service is free (you just need to download the app), but commercials are inserted during programming.

I always find it amazing what they cut out of OTHER stuff but kept IN TMNT.

I know, right? Insane in the Membrane was… intense.

I don't think the original series has been rebroadcasted since the 90s. Don’t recall it ever being on syndication back in the 2000s so I never got to watch it as a kid. G1 at least made its return to tv when it was on the Hub.
Wreckneck
I'm actually surprised 4Kids actually got away with half the stuff they did on TMNT '03 given their reputation for anime.
Confused Millennial
Nice to see it expanding beyond the stuff that’s less acclaimed. Hoping for Rescue Bots and Prime in time.

Duuuude, the 4Kids Ninja Turtles went so goddamn hard.
Wreckneck
I've only ever seen them air the 4kids version, then again I'm Canadian. 1987 series I think Viacom has the basic rights to it (the show, its characters and lore, etc.), but the rights to air/stream it are probably being withheld since Lionsgate (presumably) still has home media rights, no idea about who owns its streaming rights though.

The Pluto Transformers channel really has quite a large list of different shows. In addition to the ones that were previously airing: Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Animated, RID 2015, and Cyberverse, I've seen that they've recently been airing Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and the original cartoon. That's quite a lineup.
The only show that I ever see airing on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles channel is the 2012 Nickelodeon cartoon. I never see them air the 4Kids series anymore. And I don't think they even have the rights to the original TMNT cartoon.

They have a 5 hour block of programming that they repeat all day. On weekdays it's Animated, RID 2015, and Cyberverse. On the weekends it's a solid block of the Unicron trilogy in order. This past Saturday was the last 9 episodes of Energon and the 1st Cybertron. Yesterday was solid Cybertron for 10 episodes.
I can definitely see the monkey paw effect here… "a solid transformers channel will be fun!" … not so much on the 3rd run-through of the weekday shows… It's not even that fun as background noise while working on something else anymore…

Great just what I've always wished for a tv channel that only shows Transformers, that's good.
But so far every time I tune in it's only airing Armada, that's bad.
Guess I made that wish on a monkey's paw.

Does anyone know if this will be coming to the U.K.?

Armada is being shown today on the channel

While this is a neat idea in theory I'm sure plenty of awesome stuff won't be present on the platform, nor will it offer English Subtitles and Japanese audio.

I'm pretty sure I have the same RiD Malay DVD set "The Perfect Collection", but I only paid somewhere between $15-$20 for it. I used to have a region free DVD player for this and other items I owned, but it stopped working a long time ago. The funny thing is, I tried this on my PS4 recently, and they played fine… go figure.
As for the $15 number, I just threw that out there based on a lot of media I've been purchasing from Mill Creek. I know they are one of the leaders in budget releases, which doesn't always turn out well, but I could see them doing it for $15. I also believe the $30 range would be probably more accurate for Shout!Factory. However, I dont think they have the rights to Transformers any more? They haven't authored a new Transformers related physical media release in at least 5 or 6 years. (They can still sell what they have already on hand- I saw The Original Transformers full series DVD in Walmart the other day, Manufacture date was 2012 though) Hasbro has fully taken advantage of streaming. Unfortunately we know Disney doesn't do physical media anymore unless it's one of their top movies.
Probably another reason we will never see RiD on any new physical media because Disney isn't going to do it themselves, and neither Hasbro, nor any other media licensee would probably want to fund it. It is a shame, but at least I have what I have.

If there was nothing else on Disney+ I was watching, that question might make sense. As it is, Disney+ is something I'm likely to have already, because of everything else on it. So the question for me is more like "would I rather have RiD on a service I'm already getting, for no extra money, or would I rather pay $15 for a DVD I can own forever?"
There are a few things I'd still like to buy the DVD for, but this isn't one of them. I'd take it on the service I'm already getting, or I wouldn't bother.
(Major caveat. In truth, I've already spent more money than that to get the DVD's [Malaysian, I believe], and an old region-free player capable of playing them [from a thrift store]. But of course I did so precisely because no streaming option actually exists.)

$15 would be a pretty sweet deal, most fans would probably pick it up for that.
Of course, knowing Hasbro and figuring on it being released by Shout Factory, you're probably looking more at $30 or $40 to own it, and that's not quite as appealing. And given there would be zero bells and whistles for extras, most would probably just stick with their decade old unofficial bootleg sets.
