Now making its way across the web is a group of images that show what appears to be our first look at the Rise of the Beasts 2-In-1 Bumblebee Roleplay Mask!
Similar to the previously seen Optimus Primal mask, this also has the ability to transform into a Bumblebee robot figure. While the photos only show the front and back of the mask mode, we also get a view of its instructions which give us a glimpse of the robot mode.
Check it out after the break and stay tuned for more Rise of the Beasts news as it rolls in!

There are a lot of people on this forum who need to take this advice to heart. My sister-in-law put out a box of hats and various nerdy props for a photo booth at their wedding reception and it turned in to the play area for all of the little kids there. They fucking loved it. And my sister-in-law was glad because she loves kids and was happy to see them enjoying themselves.
Right? Like, there wouldn't be a giant market for roleplay toys and masks for years if kids didn't use them. I'm genuinely surprised Transformers has yet to really step in to that space more. Though with Hasbro there's probably less need to do so with Marvel, Star Wars, Nerf and now Power Rangers already in that market.

100%. My 12-year-old used to love dressing up in costumes and masks. We have a bunch from Marvel, The Lego Ninjago movie, Wild Kratts… He mostly played in the house because he just doesn't like running around outside much, but he was a big fan of costumes and such for years.

i can\'t imagine these masks will hold together well enough with the elastic straps,,,
getting a face full of hard plastic edges jammed against you won\'t be fun…

you actively studying kids in public, man?

Kids LOVE these dude. Straight up. My kids went through the avengers movies as toddlers and they would want a mask before an action figure..Before we layed on the floor with action figures, we ALL ran around the house as spiderman, superman, wonder women…You name it. And when your running around the house using a paper towel tube as Mjolner ALL YOU WANNA DO IS LOOK like your hero your pretending to be. With a mask..you dont need no outfit..you dont need anything else, because you look in the mirror, and YOU ARE THOR..at least when your 5 or 7… All you gotta do is think back to your childhood bro, and think of who YOU use to run around as…and your gunna ask if "Kids really even like these?" And @ZapRowsdower , you have MST3K as an avatar..I KNOW you tied a towel on and thought you were superman once..
CMON bro….
If I had a Snake eyes mask as a kid Id a superglued it to my face.
So…YEAH…kids love these.

Literally just walked past a kid dressed as Batman on my way home from work yesterday.

Basement and the park, primarily.
ZapRowsdower
Where? I never see it.
You have kids running around your neighborhood in BB masks?
I figured it was more a basement play thing.
Oniconvoy
All the time. That’s why they keep making them.

Primal had me onboard … the close ups of this reminded me of current Hasbro: crappy plastic, some likely terrible QC (where parts won't hold correctly), and mediocre robot mode.
This is meant to be used as a mask. For kids who literally don't care.
I just want the local dump to clear enough Atari E.T. cartridges to fit this new pile!
"Kids seem to like them" oooooorrrr "what can we cheaply make and spam on shelves for dumb kids?"
To be fair, how often have u seen kids play w masks, outside of Halloween? I'm not seeing the purpose here. The stores stop carrying costumes past October – don't think it's because Hasbro is hoarding the secret of selling cosplay to regular consumers all year long!
But everything has a formula: low production cost + mediocre sales = profit. Even small gains add to the overall stockholder report… even if this will waste a lot of shelf space… which is fine, when u think about it, because the TF shelves are pretty empty most of the time now.

This and the Primal mask have me picturing some brainstorming meeting at Hasbro:
"Well, for every new Transformers movie we've been making these kids' role-play masks. The kids seem to like 'em, but is there any new feature or gimmick we can apply to them, so we can sell new ones?"
"How about the masks themselves change into robots?"
" …! (team leader's eyes slowly grow wider and wider) "

I'll reserve judgement until I see some good renders of the onscreen version, but on first impression I'm not really liking the new use of the additional yellow on the face. Could change my mind though, never know. It's happened before.

I'll probably get these, not 100% sure I want them but I do want to play with them a little and I also want to support Hasbro doing something new. Transforming masks, would never have thought of it

I kind of like this Idea with Headmasters and Quintessons.
