We can share for you our first image of the Takara Tomy Transformers MPG Collection Masterpiece Trainbot Yukikaze in all his modes.
Yukikaze is the third figure of the G1 Japan Trainbot team following Shouki and Getsuei. We have our first look at the robot mode, combiner Raiden leg mode and the realistic 200 Series Shinkansen bullet train. Stay tuned with TFW2005 since more official images may show up any time soon.
See the image after the break and then join to the ongoing discussion on the 2005 Boards!

Train mode HO scale is the primary objective for this set. I understand probably most ppl here don't care(including me) but Takara is trying to target train enthusiasts in Japan because Japanese loves their choo-choo just as much as their waifus.

Good transformation video, thanks.

My brother in Christ, cartoon already justified that size. Learn to use Google.

For those looking for a transformation video, I think this guy does it quite well
Throway
Now, fans would neeeeeveeer admit their own fault in the treatment of their stuff.

Wheeljack's wing but that was because people were bending them at the hinge when you don't have to. Which is weird because when you are trying bend them to 90 degrees it feels awkward
Throway
Seriously, people think takara clear plastic is like Hasbro clear plastic. I blame him and ThatToyGuy for the fear mongering around it because of all issues MP's have, clear plastic has NEVER been one of them lmao
Liampope
Yeah dunno. Seems the toe could have just slot onto it's base/pivot but instead they used a mushroom peg that gives it independent tilt that isn't really useful for anything.
jackisking
I think the Generations line is known for having issues with clear plastic. As much as the MP line is accused of being a QC sh!tfest, clear plastic has never been an issue.
Jarrod
Yeah, seems completely useless to me too.
I also can't figure out why the "toes" rotate separate from the foot too. It's not need for any mode, and trying to rotate them pops the foot apart, so I don't think it's supposed to be for added articulation.
And the Datsun mold, and City mold, and plenty of others. Clear plastic is not the brittle, fragile thing it was 20 years ago.

I've been curious about this. The text in the transformation steps is usually of little consequence but the character background and other stuff would be nice to get in other languages.

You're pretty much popping clear plastic tabs all throughout the lambo transformation, those tabs and hinges seem to hold up quite well
Onilink
PrimevsPrime: These clear tabs are going to snap.

OK I should be less lazy and post pics rather than trying to describe it!
Joint pin indicated here…

Allows part of the roof to move a bit like this…

But for what purpose I have no idea! Doesn't seem to do anything in any mode. Seems too far away from where any Kaen bits will be to have anything to do with that either.
No idea. All I got is that shin and roof section maybe couldn't be moulded as a single part, but then why make a joint – why not just screw/glue/clip the two parts together if that was the reason?
Power12354
Literally came here to ask this as well! This is the hinge in question, attached to the black panel on the back of the leg. It appears nowhere in the instructions and doesn’t have a function in any of the modes. I initially though it was a hinge meant for Yukikaze since they have similar train modes? But it appears that part of the train is molded differently than it is on Shouki.

Do you have a picture about this part? I do not find any extra joint in the roof section in torse mode.
Sy-Rein
I thought that just folded in in bot mode. But maybe I'm thinking of something else.
jackisking
Kaen knows, but he's not telling yet
Liampope
So – has anyone figured out the reason for the existence of the extra joint in the roof section of his shin panel that isn't used for anything whatsoever??

The clear stands have been discontinued for a few years now, unfortunately. I snatch them up whenever I come across them but they’re getting increasingly rare.
I wish TT would continue to offer both those, as well as the bigger stand/base separately. There’s definitely a market for that.
Liampope
The stand arm for the four non-Shinkansen is the MP Tracks stand, and I believe that is/was sold seperately in a clear version. No idea how easy it is to get! For Shouki and Yukikaze I believe you're gonna need to borrow from your MP-52 Seekers, or whatever BW figures it was it also came with.
