Via Hobby Dengeki we have images of the Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece MPG-01 Trainbot Shouki which was on exhibit at the Japan Toy Awards 2022 event.
This event is held by the Japan Toy Association to promote innovative and remarkable products in the Japanese toy industry. The new Masterpiece MPG-01 Trainbot Shouki was selected as finalist in the High Target category and several production samples were on display in robot, shinkansen/bullet train and combiner mode. To top it all, veteran Transformers designer and Transformers Hall Of Fame 2010 inductee Kojin Ono was invited to the presentation. One of the slides gave us a glimpse of all the upcoming Masterpiece Trainbots silhouettes.

As you should be allowed to think! I have one Titan sized toy and I see it as too much if I'm being honest. Raiden seems to be a good size. I think the only other toys I have that are bigger are MP-4, MP Skyfire, and Titan Black Zarack
lord ginrai
Totally serious. He has a ton of mass. Very wide. I suppose perception of size is different when you live in a country that does/doesn’t have a lot of space.
To me, yeah. Honestly, all the figures in those images look pretty huge (except for the Voyager Optimus). I can’t even begin to imagine how massive that 3rd party Raiden must be in real life.
daimchoc
Definitely GIGANTIC!

I dunno, he's got a decent amount of mass relative to his height. He's stocky and thick. And he's really dense feeling, heavier than you'd initially suspect for his size.
Hoffman
No, I know. But even if you own any larger MP or Leader class figures, I wouldn't consider Raiden gigantic.
mx-01 archon
lord ginrai actually lives in Japan. They don't tend to have space for 18" action figures over there.
Hoffman
Not sure if serious…
lord ginrai
Just saw Raiden on display in a local toy store. Dear god he’s gigantic! Really hope that any future MP combiners won’t be any taller than this. They’d be so unwieldy. Pictures really don’t do his size justice.

Yeah for storage in train mode I leave the crest not pushed in all the way, or else it bumps into part of the inner structure of the train panels.
BronzeLeagueHero
It's very possible to store the raiden head in robot and train mode.
For robot mode, you have to make sure two tabs line up with holes on the underside of the head piece + the reversed crest needs to sit inside of the bogie. (the wheels)
For train mode, you have to make sure the back of the head is pointing to the rear, the black W shaped tab that folds is folded up and pointing to the rear, you tab in the head to the rear bogie, and then fold the leg panels around the head.
NGL in the robot mode it sticks out a lot and can make yukikaze look really bulky.
Paco Grande
It's definitely possible, but if you don't want to risk paint damage I totally get that. Check out the Wotafa video to see if he shows it. For bot mode it needs to go at a certain angle I think. Not straight. The entire head I mean. Not the crest.
Buzzclaw
I don't it's possible but the instructions show that you can push the reversed crest all the way in, which does not jibe with the actual toy. I'm sure I can fit it in there but there's little clearance and I don't want to scratch paint off.
Paco Grande
Not sure what you mean, but it is possible to store the Raiden head in train and bot mode. I think there's a trick to it. Wotafa most likely shows it.

Picked up a not-mint Kaen big box from EE and used a 10% coupon. Now I need to pick up Seizan to complete the team.
Buzzclaw
Now that the rust has settled:
Kaen is the best standalone trainbot. Very characterful and non-stressing transformation.
2nd place is either Seizan or Suiken. It seemed like Suiken was easier to transform than Seizan for some reason.
3rd place is Getsuei. Just a solid figure if a bit temperamental.
4th is Shouki. Imposing but at the same time the transformation is not as straightforward as the other and he has some of the worst kibble (at least the arm-bro's backpack can be set aside as mini-trains). Shield use is hindered by kibble.
5th is Yukikaze. I'm still not sure if I mistransformed him as it looked like there are tabs/slot on the inner shins below the knees but I just couldn't get clearance. He looks cool though. Also, I'm pretty sure you can't compact the Raiden head the way the instruction say.
sikkusushotto
Yeah without the constraints of the strict alt-mode scale I hope the parts are given more room to breathe. While I think the individual Trainbots are ok Raiden as a whole would have definitely benefited from slightly more size. There's just so much to cram in there.
Absolutely. For me personally, the single worst transformation in this entire set is getting Yukikaze into and out of leg mode.
He has two, though both are fairly useless.
Not an unpopular opinion at all. I will probably combine Raiden at most one more time this year once Ginou arrives at most likely at most once a year or so moving forwards. Otherwise I will enjoy the individual bots (except for Yukikaze, he will live in storage).
BronzeLeagueHero
He needs a better method of locking the panels in robot mode than a single loose tab.
KylerWilmoth
He's the weakest member for sure
Buzzclaw
Yukikaze's legs are such a nightmare
