Coming once again from Chefatron on YouTube we have a new set of in-hand images of another upcoming Legacy figure: Legacy Deluxe Elita-1.
While we had already had an Elita-1 mold from the War For Cybertron line, Legacy is bringing us a new Elita-1 mold with amore G1-cartoon inspired design. The images show Elita-1 next to War For Cybertron Netflix Elita-1 and Earthrise/Kingdom Arcee for you to spot all the differences in design in both modes.
See all the images after the break and then join to the ongoing discussion on the 2005 Boards!

btw, this is where I got the idea from. @spoonman deserves all the credit.

And here’s the fan-mode that we all know Elita-1 deserves. Eat your heart out Springer.

Sunbow Prime
I was thinking Blurr based on where the upper arms, head, and chest end up on the alt mode.
Rodimus Prime
She has a few bit parts in vehicle mode, and she is impossible to make. Her chest and waist are the hood while her knees and upper arms are the back end of the vehicle.
CobraKai
I agree. I think Elita’s feet aren’t as bad as Ironhide, but I’d like something less cheap and flimsy.
Mercurius
I wasn't looking at the back of Earthrise Ironhide that much either, but I still bought Nonneff's feet because they were egregious.
Chadderbug
I mean, you aren't gonna be looking back there too often so yea
Mercurius
Finally got her. I really wish a third party foot replacement was available to fix the rather unpleasant appearance in alt-mode
tfwmongrel
Extremely cool of you but not worth the postage, I’ll probably never display her in that wonky inaccurate car mode anyway. But thank you.
Mercurius
I don't plan on using mine. I could probably throw it in an envelope and mail it to you.
tfwmongrel
I found her at Target today but sadly, her "vehicle hat" part is nowhere to be found in the box. Her two guns come wrapped in the usual paper but it wasn't in there. And we know Hasbro doesn't deal in replacing parts
Obnimaz
Got her via bbts, I hate her slipper feet but otherwise she’s a fun figure
Robogeek28
Still waiting for Amazon to release this gal.

Both of these could work, pretty well. I think I would lean towards Hot Rod more.
How about this though? A new mold that shared engineering with SS86 Scourge/Sweep!
Cut down the backpack/cloak to just the minimum needed and re-jigger the chest to unfold up over the shoulder to form the front end.
That would allow for the arms and legs to stay slender and leaves the head in the right position to stick up out of the roof some.
The wheels can either be integrated into the arms and legs or the backpack.
ArcheEltanin
Would be nice, yeah, and they could just release it as Leader or Voyager. Though personally, Hot Rod is fine (as long as they fix those cruddy shoulder joints)
Well it's good we've abandoned accuracy anyway. And yes, the design wasn't designed with any toy in mind, coz, let's be honest, she and her squad were originally only a last minute addition once Arcee was finally allowed to be made as a character, to show that female Transformers existed, so Arcee wouldn't be too much of an outlier.
The only thing she should still be accurate to is her size, but they can never get THAT right.
ArcheEltanin
Nah, we really should not be making Elitas out of Arcees anymore. While I wish that Legacy Elita ought to be bigger (another reason she SHOULDN'T be made from an Arcee), she proves that we really should move away from accuracy, coz that does no one any realistic favors.
Accuracy =/= good.
Especially in size. She's fine as is, just needs an upscale.
Well, they're appeasing fans, but with close to bare minimum. It's one thing for G1 to have one sense of size, which was often all over the place, but when that size remains consistent with her other two animated appearances, yet all she gets are Deluxe toys, both mere (p)retools meant to be other characters, it seems lacking. Hence I lean into your more cynical reasonings.
The funny thing is, I strongly believe that Elita and Nightbird should swapped base molds; Nightbird from Arcee and Elita from Chromia. Though of course, it's good we've left those garbage molds behind.
Well, since we've rightfully abandoned strict accuracy anyway, yeah, Hot Rod seems like a better base for Elita than Minerva. Ironically for more accuracy, but also to give her the bare minimum height she deserves, the biggest downside of the Legacy toy.
Seanprime
Yeah in order for an Elita to look more similar to the on screen model she’d have to be voyager class. Her model has 0 vehicle mode parts lol. That on screen model definitely wasn’t designed with any sort of toy in mind. I doubt we get another Elita for a really long time but maybe one day we can get something better
General Tekno
I'm convinced she could be a rework of the new Rodimus Prime mold, even. Would give her more leaderish height.
HAL237
I’m not proposing a 1:1 retool; I’m sure an alternate transformation could be figured out for the legs to retain their accuracy.
