Via Weibo user 布里吉特是只羊 we can share for you new in-hand images of the new Super 7 Ultimates Transformers Banzai-Tron.
This figure is part of Super 7 Ultimates Transformers Wave 1 (together with Optimus Prime, Ghost Of Starscream and Action Master Bombshell) action figures. Banzai-Tron is our first modern take on the G1 Action Master and we can see from that Super 7 really brought his design, details and colors in the right way. As far as articulation concerns, he’s on par with what other Ultimates figure offer with a pretty decent range of movement. He comes with 3 pairs of interchangeable weapons, his gun and his partner Razor-Sharp. About Razor-Sharp, while he’s sculpted like the original G1 figure, it cannot transform into a gun anymore. We also have some comparison size images, thanks to Toy Bro on YouTube, next to Studio Series 86 perceptor, Legacy Core Iguanus, and other Super 7 Ultimates figure for those wondering about the scale.

If you wanted all four of them, but have been sitting on the fence, it's definitely a good price. If you only care about one of them, not so much. Me, I only wanted Banzai-Tron, ever, so I probably wouldn't be getting this set even if I didn't already pick up Banzai-Tron on discount.

And BBTS has Wave 1 half off. Optimus, Bombshell, Banzaitron and Ghost Starscream for $100 and change… worth it?

100% this, all of it.

I think an honest part of it is that some brands are like TMNT has been in that they can support a dozen or more figures a year.
And a lot of brands just aren't. But they can possibly support a handful of figures a year.
And I think Super7 is in a sorting process, figuring out which are which.
I don't think the delays suggest that they can't take on more product.
I think, mostly, the bottleneck seems to be:
– Factories that close 2 months out of the year.
– Factories that prioritize other clients.
– Problems with being unable to visit factories. (Since resolved by hiring Chinese employees who can visit factories.)
– Too few factories available.
In terms of what Super7 does in-house and the number of employees they have, they're probably more than adequately equipped to do 150-200 figures a year.
Production seems to be the bottleneck.
At a certain point, given their strong history of raising cash for improvements, I wonder if they wouldn't be better off buying a small, established company to assume control of their factory relationships.
Maybe even a piece of Funko, while there's still something left.

Capiche. Though I would love to have Stranglehold & Octopunch to complete the core Mayhem Attack squad. They would look so epic together, along with some of the 87-88 Decepticons we've gotten. Heck, I hope they can do all of the weird pretenders at least before this runs it's indeterminate course. Longtooth, Bugly, a proper Skullgrin… Hopefully they are minding which character choices sell well as part of the decision making process going forward. As you mentioned, Tarn's gonna be a wet squib. A little inter-company brand synergy would be a good thing in that regard(and maybe lead to some proper Hasbro inner bots?) Bludgeon will probably outsell any thusfar, sending a clear message. Therein, I'm optimistic. Lord knows how long it'll take at this pace though.

Me too, mate. Me too. At least this one scratches the G1 itch enough, just wish someone would make the inner bot and I’d all it a day.

Hmm, yeah I vaguely remember it now….
Well, color me disappointed then.

I'd be interested in more Action Master updates. Please and thank you.

The boards, man, the boards. I’m not going to hunt it down but the picture is out there for the notion that Bludgeon is a heavy Tarn retool, little details like the little molded in guns on Tarn’s side being exactly where they should be….for IDW Bludgeon, etc. They both have similar tank modes and all that jazz.

I’m still looking forward to wave 3 Alligaticon in 2027.

Source?

You’re absolutely right and they’re losing money because of it. How many Tarn preorders got canceled when Hasbro unveiled theirs? If Hasbro’s Bludgeon was going to be a G1 version then they’d be screwed there too. Sadly it’s the IDW vomit inducing version.

I remember wave 3 was announced two years ago(2021) and wave 3 was supposed to be released in middle of 2022. I had made a pre order for wave 3 Tarn but after I get legacy Tarn, I canceled that order. If the release schedule wasn't postponed so many times, I would have both Legacy Tarn and Super 7 Tarn right now.
I can't agree with you more. Super 7 should focus on their current licence product and stick to initial release date rather than "sucking up any and all brands they can find".

Super7 is becoming the new Funko the way they suck up any and all brands they can find, and its basically slowed Ultimates production for anything other than TMNT to a complete crawl. Like, rush hour traffic in LA kinda slow.
While before I had been kinda disappointed we hadn’t seen any more Action Masters or Pretenders after wave 2, but maybe I should just be happy I won’t feel any need to buy into the line anymore after Bludgeon finally arrives.

I think a lot of people are sleeping on how big Grimlock is.
Studio Series Grimlock is taller than Siege/Earthrise Optimus (who are essentially the same height).
Super7 Optimus is taller than that…
Megatron is probably a slight bit bigger than Optimus…
And Grimlock towers over Megatron.
That's an easy 9+ inches to Studio Series' roughly 8 inches.
Which should make the Super7 a little bigger than the MP.

My patience is running thin. I preordered this thing back in 2021
Cardion
I'm patient. I can wait if it means better QC.

Wave 2 bumped back to June now!

Wave 2 bumped back to April now! Hell, Hasbro’s Bludgeon will release before this one.
