Prime 1 Studio website have updated information regarding the cancellation of their Premium Masterline Transformers: War For Cybertron Optimus Prime & Megatron statues.
Both Optimus Prime and Megatron statues (in regular and Ultimate versions each) were revealed earlier in 2021 and they were designed after their CGI War For Cybertron incarnations. As a result of this, they look exactly like their respective WFC figures. Read on for Threezero details about their cancellation:
“To our beloved fans and collectors, We regret to inform you of the cancellation of projects Premium Masterline Transformers: War For Cybertron Optimus Prime (PMTF-05) and the Premium Masterline Transformers: War For Cybertron Megatron (PMTF-06)…
Unfortunately, due to the continually increasing cost of production combined with the insufficient amount of demand and interest, we have made the difficult decision to cease production and development of these statues…”
In any case, Prime 1 Studio still has other Transformers statues on the works from different universes, but it’s a shame these War For Cybertron statues won’t see the light. Click on the discussion link below and share your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Really glad you stopped by to say that. It really added a lot.

Considering how many colletors are already cutting back on buying the mass retail figures that actually transform because of the price increases it isn't surprising that statues that cost over $1000 when you factor in tax and shipping are getting canceled.
Also, I would rather watch the whole WFC Netflix series than any one of the Micheal Bay movies, even the first one which wasn't awful. There's just a mean-spirited, insulting tone to those movies like they hate their audience and they make me feel uncomfortable because of it.

Umm…. The same MCU whose pattern Paramount was looking to copy from until Bay-former's 5 flopped and Bumble-Bay under performed?
Tell us more…
YoungPrime
Don't sweat it… We've actually got Bay recently sharing his regrets about making half of those sequels now because all that "success" that people want to throw in our faces has turned into box office poison for Bay and all of his non-TF films are flopping now.
Hell, he even admitted to not really caring about TF lore when making the 1st one while defending it with arrogance ever since. So none of us have to bite our tongues when calling those films terrible… TF and TMNT movie karma has caught up with Bay and speaking for us anyway…

If they are, then I hope the Netflix show & other stuff like Combiner Wars, Titans Return, and low effort crap like it are proof enough for them that they should be investing more in the media side of Transformers, because these statues could’ve sold if the show didn’t put them off of the characters and designs so much.
YoungPrime
Hmm…. Another TF Fan site was a little more blatant with this topic, stating that the WFC statues "Most mocked by Fans" were cancelled.
If true, then this is more proof that HasTak teams ARE listening to our opinions in these threads and Social Media groups, along with the lack of preorders. If so HasTak, please don't allow a lot of the reluctance for Titan class Cybertron Metroplex to deter you from releasing the rumored Omega Sentinel repaint.
Because I'd buy two of those at full price before I'd buy one of that new Legacy Metroplex (unless it's on sale for 50% off).

my brain farted and thought megatron was standing on a zaku.

Based and DOTM Pilled

Eh. I’ll take Bumblebee & the ‘07 TF movie over The Incredible Hulk or Iron Man 3.

The general plot elements are similar, right down to the bad guys each having a giant death worm & a hero being betrayed by someone he once considered an ally.
As to which one is better just comes down to personal preference.

That Shockwave on Prime\'s base is totally checking out his ass.
And Megatron is stood on the head of an Omega Guardian.

I realize I’m not even one of the first 10 people to say this, but I gotta add my voice to the crowd.
These statues always seemed like a terrible product. I mean…it looks exactly the same as the Siege figures! Not “inspired by,” but exactly the same!
At least with the statues from the Michael Bay movies, the CGI models are so ridiculously complicated and so a statue might be the best way to get a screen-accurate robot that a transforming, articulated figure can’t possibly accomplish (although it’s getting very close with figures such as UniqueToys’ Galvatron, DX9’s Soundewave, etc). The WFC CGI models, on the other hand, are so ridiculously simple that the Siege figures pretty much exactly match the CGI!
And it’s not exactly like the statues did anything the Siege figure can’t do. Like, you could totally do those poses with just the Siege figure! And the Siege figure can do other poses. And transform! And it only costs $20-$30!
WHO thought these statues were ever a good idea?

I'd put The Transformers the Movie far above Eternals.
Rojixus
Okay, sure.

Avengers is DOTM but worse
Rojixus
The worst MCU movie is still better than any Transformers movie.

The problem with modern hasbro is that they don't give big budgets anymore. But im pretty sure the budget wouldnt have improved the story around the wfc trilogy.

Couldn’t agree more. The writing and animation were god awful. No character development. Trying to be too serious. Wrong studio for the job. Never liked Rooster Teeth.
Their BW Megatron was the absolute worst.
Slyf5
if Hasbro wants a big hit on Netflix, TFPrime season 6, watch it beat the crap out of Arcane, but with modern Hasbro: not G1? no show, not G1? no movie, not G1? no toyline
