Blurr, an Autobot bodyscrapper, seeks his next bounty: Starscream, who is carrying valuable information that could reignite the war! Meanwhile, a guilt-ridden Megatron weighs the choice of whether to continue fighting, at the risk of losing what little they have left. You can write stories were the antagonist aren't grimderp idiots and still be drama in it.
jackgaughan
Cause there's no drama in that.

It’ll be interesting to see where the last issue goes. I feel like we don’t have the full story yet (beyond the tease for Roddy’s secret).

what a missed opportunity, Roche. 0/10.

They literally said on-panel that they farm organic matter. Or are you under the delusion that farming is some kind of greenthumb magic streamlined predictable unbreakable cycle of resources that can never ever run dry?
BWIguanusfan2
Actually *farming* orangic matter would he much more productive then hopping planet to planet and devouring all live on it then the tyrannids. Now it's literally just grimderp for the sake of being grimderp and justify -hot shot- rodimus killing edgelord verisons of random characters that the writter didnt make and rodimus have no remorse for doing so.
grindcore138
Judging by the "should we separate them by species?"/"they're all the same, just throw them all in together" lines it seems that they do farm and make use of all available organic life rather than just the sapient beings.
BigRed
"Why are these starving metal monstrosities led by ex-Decepticons being less than picky with what they eat?!"
The very comic makes it clear they are using the non-sapient beings as well. They're eating everything they can get their hands on.
Tetratron
One hell of a haiku there, Wheelie.

Edgelord nonsense as foretold by yester year! Why couldn't these transformers farm cows and turn them into energon rather then sapient beings that dont contain that much energy? Well it's because their would be a plot if edgelord wheelie wasn't an idiot.

So far this series is a bit sad. I like Steeljaw and his sister – but the Decepticons are basically back to their old tricks. I would’ve liked to see those two get to do more – but I don’t see a bright future for them… or anyone, really. That’s a shame, as it would’ve been nice to see IDW go out with a bit more hope… and less murder?
I’m wondering if we’re gonna see a twist though (“To Serve Mankind”) since Roddy seems to be a bit off as well. His poor crew.
Perhaps we’ve yet to see the actual “last Bot” and a few other cameos are waiting in the wings to sort this all out.
UndeadScottsman
RiD Steeljaw was an extremely good pick for that kind of character.

oh gosh i wonder who, dont tell me, i dont need to know.
T-Hybrid
Yeah there's at least one person who got caught not actually reading the comic they claimed they did and the fact they didn't take the opportunity to disappear from IDW discussions over the course of a month was pretty telling.
Happy Miracle
The thing is, if the critique came out of nowhere, that'd be one thing. The cover doesn't have to work for you and there is room to be assertive when it comes to making critique. However, at least one critique came solely because someone expressed an appreciation of it, and it wasn't a critique that opened up any avenue for healthy, constructive conversation/debate.
And sure, awards/critical recognition by peers might not be an objective measure of quality, but what I would say is that a statement like "it looks like a child drew it" shows how petty and short-sighted their 'critique' is, and like all their other posts, is entirely useless.
BlackHawkOmega
There's better ways to criticize the cover, for sure, but "winning an award" doesn't automatically make anyone who doesn't like it "wrong".
Also, people throw around "stylized" like it's this magic shield that deflects any sort of negative feedback.
That guy named storm
I personally think that Cover B is cool
However what's NOT cool is everyone dunking on it and calling it garbage because god forbid somebody had some artistic freedom and made a stylized cover. Y'all never freak out over other variant covers so why this? Why's this so bad that you must ridicule and dimish the artist and their work?
Super not cool.
Happy Miracle
Yeah, hot rod and wheelie and ork-man thing did have some adventures I guess, but I suppose the important points here is that either a. This isn’t idw1.0 (explicitly) or b. Enough time goes by that you end up not liking the people you used to get along with, or something.
Your point about the sun, etc tho again relies on the assumption that they still have the means to do all the crazy cartoon shit other continuities/stories could do. Which is missing the point and engaging in bad faith, really; it could be that there is energon but not the means to find it reliably. Also could be that they this universes means of producing energon from solar panels or refineries, whether internal or external, is simply, genuinely gone. Kind of a “if we had cheese, we could have ham and cheese sandwiches, if we had ham” logic.
I mean it’s only stupid if it was the only way you read a comic. But then I’d question the validity or need of opinions from someone who tries to have discussions based solely on AI generated previews.
nah it’s a fine cover
hopefully the three-five page preview next month bears that out, as that’s all some people read, right?
jackgaughan
God forbid a cover stylises designs, cause we didn't say this exact asinine shit when Animated was shown off. Also you have no clue what you're talking about at all. "It looks cheap", this is a cover from an Eisner award winning artist.
