Thought we were done with the reveals? Think again, as it seems Hasbro has saved the biggest for last! Coming to us from IGN, we now the have our official reveal for the long-rumored Transformers Legacy Titan Cybertron Metroplex!
If you’ve ever found yourself thinking you don’t have enough giant, transforming robot figures in your life, Hasbro has your back. Beginning later today, you can preorder the Transformers: Generations Legacy Series Titan Cybertron Universe Metroplex, which is admittedly a mouthful, but check out the gallery below to see some images of this massive figure.
At a whopping 22-inches tall, Metroplex has 52 steps to transform from robot to excavator. In robot mode, it includes “a flip-down welding mask,” because safety is absolutely paramount for even gigantic transforming sentient robots.
The Generations Legacy Series brings together multiple Transformers universes “all in one toy line,” to celebrate over 40 years of transforming robot action. Each figure in the Legacy line includes a code on its package, and scanning the code shows you “character tech specs from across the multiverse.” It’s the modern version of that red piece of transparent plastic you used to get to reveal a toy’s strengths. I’m here for it.
The Legacy Metroplex retails for $199.99 and can be preordered starting today at 1 pm ET at HasbroPulse.com and “most major toy retailers.”
Check out the gallery and let us know what you think of the big guy after the break!

I know it's random, but can somebody show him next to either Power of the Primes or Wei Jiang Predaking? I wanna see how they scale
Also if anybody can show him with his legs extended and collapsed, that'd be great

Okay cool. This was the glue we used, which we both use all the time for bot repairs. I had tried this by itself before we did the "gunpla graft" and it didn't hold.

bit more risky but y ou could try using a plastic welder? i've done it a few times with snapped plastic and it's worked OK
octobotimus
If that previous glue is dried it should be fine.

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say that as long as the glue is adhered and cured fully, then adding an epoxy over it shouldn't matter.
(unless of course there are opposing chemicals in each that lesson the bond of the epoxy)
I'd go with you're probably fine.

Yesterday we did sort of a "grafting" thing where one of my other friends drilled a hole in the antenna, put a thing piece of plastic sprue from a gunpla kit in, then glued it. Haven't checked if it held.
Will putting epoxy on surface that's already had glue on it affect the integrity of the adhesiveness?
octobotimus
Epoxy. Once that’s bonded it’s going to be stronger than the plastic itself.

I got him for Christmas from one of my friends, but one of his antennae is broken off. I could hear it rattling inside the box. I tried some Krazy glue, but it didn't hold. Anyone have an idea for a better fix?

So I'm wandering around a target in Tennessee looking for figures and I find this guy in a pile of clearance stuff (plushes, barbies, etc) found him for the price of 90$ (104$ after taxes) and so far while messing with him he is really fun, minor complaint is his abb crunch is loose and will start to give out if he's holding his axe with two hands

My poor wording – I meant it would be even less if you were paying via RedCard.

I love the robot mode (proportions, head sculpt, colors, details) of this, but the alt mode is kinda lame and I don’t enjoy large figures. It'd be cool if Newage did one, though.

Well, someone wasn't skipping leg day, now were they?
That guy named storm
It's a regular sale, not red card
I got one this past Sunday
Both online and in store

For those waiting, Metroplex is on sale at Target now for about $133 or less if you have RedCard.

If you have Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime from the WFC trilogy, i would give it to him. Should size just right from when he used it in the show.

I have a spare weapon from the original Cybertron Metroplex, I'm wondering what I can do with it vis-a-vis the Legacy figure. Ideas?
VictoryStarSaber
I had to return one because his ab crunch was so loose that he couldn't hold his axe at all.
Napalm
I fucking love how much fun this guy is to pose. He's just a giant action figure of a robot and has fantastic articulation for his size. A simply wonderful toy with bags of character and presence.

I've got mine and love him. This is a toy laser-targeted at ME. I also think it's neat how they do the torso transformation different but still end up with basically the same result. He's a big, solid, no-nonsense dude who actually would make a great addition to your Cybertron collection let alone classics.
Honestly, the only thing I really wish he had was more interactivity points in alt mode. I don't need a full-on base mode, but more seats, manable turrets, compartments, consoles, minicon ports etc. Even if we get a core Drillbit, there still isn't a lot for him or any other bot to actually interact with. I also feel like they really should have put a cyber key slot on the axe. I don't need the actual axe-split/electronics gimmick (although it would have been nice), but just a simple spot to plug in a key at all like on Override would've been nice.
