I love me cybertron but I can't justify even that sale price on a $200 toy that's got no cyber key or minicon

Legacy Metroplex looks like he should include a ball gag when he’s in alt mode.
WishfulThinking
Yeah, it's more like he's laying on his back.
He and TR Fortress Maximus both have garbage alt modes for titans (I'm aware of their homage to the original garbage alt modes) but Cyb Metroplex is slightly worse to me in that the end result doesn't really bring a compelling finished mode…so you can easily get lost in transforming him because there's no particular waypoint to achieve. You'd think he were easy but it's not clear if a part is supposed to be swung one way or the other, turned, or switched around as there's really nothing to guide you to an end goal. Fort Max's flying fortress mode at least takes the "I fall down on my back" approach and can be done in a few steps. In short, for looking pretty basic, Cyb Metroplex is anything but intuitive thanks to being nothing really definitive in alt mode to begin with. He looks impressive in robot mode but that's about it.

Does it help to point out that his ass is in the center and what your seeing is him snapping his ankles?
CobraKai
That’s a good deal but I can’t unsee a robot thats ass up for his alt mode.

Not as nice as the 50% off one-day sale they had a couple of months ago (and sold out really fast on, of course), but it's something.

Well, unfortunately in my case as I bought it from a 3rd party retailer, Hasbro can't/won't do anything. Much as I've enjoyed him, since I can't really pose him I may have to bail on the figure.

Thank you for making a video investigating this. Unfortunately there doesn't seem any method of really fixing it that I've been able to find. Waiting to hear back from Hasbro if they have any recommendations/will replace due to factory defect.

Hey so I figured out why some Legacy Metroplexs have floopy waists. There's supposed to be two ratchets in the waist, but some copies have one
I showed it off here:

Sorry folks, had to show off a little bit from my end. I just used the tow carrier from zoids catalga for the leg portion. That let's me roll it back and forth making it a true mobile base! Unfortunately, Catalga can't really pull it either the battery is so weak or the overall weight is just too much. But all my hunch are correct. It works. Not 100% matching aesthetic but hey, I like it.

So I was able to pick him up recently for a pretty good deal ($120, sealed box at a toy fair). I honestly know jack-all about the Cybertron cartoon…but he looked cool, and he's even cooler in person.
The alternate modes are a little wonky for sure, but I still love them. And the fact his mouth can actually open.
that being said…mine is apparently victim to the 'loose ab/chest' issue. If I so much as breathe wrong he flops over. Don't suppose anyone has worked out some kind of fix for it?

I know it's random, but can somebody show him next to either Power of the Primes or Wei Jiang Predaking? I wanna see how they scale
Also if anybody can show him with his legs extended and collapsed, that'd be great

Okay cool. This was the glue we used, which we both use all the time for bot repairs. I had tried this by itself before we did the "gunpla graft" and it didn't hold.

bit more risky but y ou could try using a plastic welder? i've done it a few times with snapped plastic and it's worked OK
