Hasbro Transformers Designer Mark Maher has shared concept art images of his Transformers Botbots RacerRoni (Pizza Racing Car) via his Instagram account.
One of the funniest ideas of the “Ruckus Rally” episode from the Botbots Cartoon. Read on for Mark’s comments about his design:
The RacerRoni concept car I designed was tricked out! Tomato slice wheels, ketchup relish mustard squirt blasters, french fry seats, anchovie missile launcher with the grilled cheese launch pad, and triple pipe turbo charge exhaust!!!
Oh yeah!!! This thing is ready to grease the track and keep it smellin cheesy for a stinky win at the Ruckus Rally!

None of us are wrong really. It's just typical 80/90's toons inconsistency, the writers having too much freedom, LOL. But it's all fun at least.

Yeah I always thought them hating anchovies despite all of the other pizzas they ate was the joke. I could've sworn I had a book from back then that talked about that and the punchline was "NO ANCHOVIES!!"

If I remember, the only pizza they have left is anchovies. Which, wouldn't you know it, is the one they hate.

It was a running gag that the Turtles love pizzas that would gross us normies out in the OG show. It's like, they NEVER had a regular pizza. But then the live-action movie started the "no anchovies" line as an in-joke. That's how I remembered it.
I thought the subsequent shows' deemphasizing that aspect of the running gag is…. fine? As the writers must've just got tired/lazy to think of new, grossed-out combos I guess.

Why am I not surprised that Mark would be the man behind the pizza slice/race car.
We are lucky to have him on the TF team, and I hope at some point he's allowed to unleash that creativity on Generations.
