Hasbro Digital Sculptor Randa Rivera shared contributions made to two members of the Transformers R.E.D. [Robot Enhanced Design] line:
- I sculpted and articulated Shockwave for Hasbro’s R.E.D. series.
- R.E.D. Knock Out’s weapons created for Hasbro.

Now if only they made him flocked. He could be called Velvet Revolver.

I don\'t ever buy non transforming TF figures but man…Look at this figure! Too bad he\'s an exclusive and I will prolly have a hard time getting one myself.
Max Rawhide
I've never bought a RED figure, but Shockwave might be my first. Just because it's Shockwave.
Do dislike the hip skirts being grey and will likely cut off that little peg at the end of his gun arm because it looks dumb. Also agree with the comment that him coming with Megatron in gun mode is a bit weird: it should be himself. Wish the backpiece was integrated a bit better.
Both are dumb when you think about it. A six shooter refers to a revolver because it holds six bullets. Energon Sixshot is very clearly a laserpistol without a rotating chamber (the revolver) and a pistol or raygun isn't referred to as a six shooter. Neither does he have six altmodes (only three officially). So unless he could only shoot six times, but else his name doesn't make sense.
However, I do think it's an interesting alternate deco for Shockwave. Nothing beats the original and I don't want multiple Shockwave models running around — he, Soundwave and Megatron should imo be pretty unique among the Decepticon models — but should Hasbro release it as a SG Shockwave, I might get one.

Absolutely criminal that they didn\'t include a saluting hand.

Oh, I like it. This is a decent character sculpt. Looks to fit in on my shelf. I'm just as likely to animate or photo-comic it as "play" with it. And with animation or photo-comics, his alt-mode can be really anything tangible.
My main gripe with the RED line really is that they don't have relative scale. I mean, having a Bumblebee the same size as Optimus and Megs just is a terrible approach.
I want to see Transformers survive as a toyline. Key for that is to really make something playable and "toyetic," which will appeal to those much younger than me. I was always torn on the leader class Siege figure. Great looking Shockwave. But just couldn't be bothered to pay the extra for the superfluous parts. Did those make it more appealing to the kid market? I always wondered. As a kid, I always liked the figures with the least parts-forming possible. Specifically I mean "parts forming" in parts that are discarded in one mode or another, such as the Seekers' fists.
Houndini
You are definitely not the only one If RED drops the gross flexible material and starts consistently putting out figures like Knockout and Shockwave, I think the line could really turn itself around.
THE-TRANSFORMER
I'm always conflicted when I see photos like these that make me think about the characters that I "have to have everything of" are like Beachcomber and Flywheels.
Always sad that there's not that much stuff to get and my equivalent pick would look pretty bland…
While at the same time, always glad that there's not that much stuff that's difficult to chase down.
Good pic mate.
BB Shockwave
Why does the review of the toy has no topic to discuss it in?
Anyway, never knew these are the size of Voyagers. Seeing it next to Siege Shockwave just made me realize how that toy can do almost all the articulation this one does, making this rather redundant as a non-transforming action figure.
Girl Pants
I wish we got more of these "exploded" diagrams of all of a figure's parts. It's just really cool to see it all laid out.
Dinobot Snarl
The rubber plastic is what makes it appealing otherwise better to get the leader.
Ramberk Magnus
Agreed. It really makes me want to collect RED figures.
Senator Magnificus
Honestly, I prefer his Russian name: Revolver.
Dachande
Heheh
I just have zero love for SG, but I know I'd begrudgingly buy it if made.
analogue
He's not in my Sixshot collection either, no chance of that happening. As for an SG Shockwave? I wouldn't want it, I would NEED it.
Dachande
I loathe that iteration. Yeah, I have the original mold in my Shockwave collection, but that is NOT Sixshot.
I think that would be the very first Shockwave I would have to really question as to whether I would want it.
analogue
You are not alone, I think he looks great. The only negative comment I had was the hilariously limp Megatron gun. It should have been a Shockwave in gun form, he doesn't have that problem. I have no idea why they didn't do that.
There was never a chance I was not going to get it, but I think he will look great with all the other G1 figures.

The Last Knight
Now that we have the digital renders for the Shockwave figure, maybe someone can make the RED Shockwave out of hard plastic instead of rubber plastic
Senator Magnificus
Definitely. Always dug his fruity colour scheme,
Terry Klassen's weaselly performance & the fact
despite looking like Shockers he really was a very
different character.View attachment 29449060
Decepticon Shockwave
I knooooooow right!?
Where is my SG Shockwave hasbro?
Senator Magnificus
All this work, yet still no love for Six Shot.

Who knows what's in the cards going forward? May very well happen.
