The Toy Association posted word of their flagship gathering’s 2023 return to The Javits Center in its new fall time slot.
The Toy Association’s Board of Directors, comprised of executives from companies of all sizes, made the decision to shift the tradeshow’s timing to fall from February based on a number of factors, many of which were accelerated by the pandemic. These factors include, but are not limited to, extended lead-times in production supply chain and sourcing and evolved retailer purchasing cycles. The findings were gleaned from multiple member surveys and research work done by consulting firm mdg as part of a multi-year long process to “reimagine” the future of Toy Fair.

This post will be updated with a news link for Toy Fair 2023 displays/reveals happening the morning of Friday 09/29/23
Update: There is nothing new for Transformers at Toy Fair 2023 save for Earthrise Cyber-Combiners. Very little product on display, all of it already released items, none of it "collector" oriented (ie: No Legacy Evolutions/Legacy United).
Studio Series ROTB Rhinox, Primal, Mirage, Nightbird
Mainline ROTB product already released
Earthrise Cyber-Combiners (Bumblebee/Mo Malto & Terran Twitch/Robby Malto)
We'll update with pictures when not on foot in NYC
That's it.

Why are they doing it in September instead of February?

Good god bro, calm down. I get it, I am bored and waiting for reveals too, but we aren’t going to die if we don’t get our fix of plastic crack
Christ, I don’t even want to think about 2024…it still feels like it was 2019 yesterday, not 3 years ago

We need a countdown clock…

I know it's an exaggeration. I believe we are expecting a Pulsecon this year. Only because there is rumor of the exclusive. So there may be something before then.

Legacy wave 2 will get revealed when it gets revealed
Lazerwave
I'm fine with this just as long as this doesn't mean wave 2 Legacy won't be till then and we will only expect over a year of wave one being in stores only.
happy
Never mind…

Toy Fair is an industry event for companies to sell their stuff to vendors. ComicCon is a consumer event where companies can interact with the end users of their products (be it comics, movies, toys etc). The two events have drastically different purposes.

I missed that, but the point stands… won’t having this event and comic con so close together be a bit much?
Fenrys
Not to be that guy, but isn't this post a critique of someone? As is mine I guess
On topic, gotta give them credit for trying, but I don't see this actually happening.

This is for next September, 2023!

Interesting timing. NYCC is usually the first weekend of October so the Javits will have back to back large events. Wish I could actually attend toy fair for a change. I've lived in NYC all my life and haven't been able to start up a website/youtube channel to qualify me as press, so I miss the damn thing every year, despite living pretty close.
