Via In Demand Toys Facebook we have new stock images revealing the packaging of the highly anticipated Transformers Studios Series SS 86-15 Dinobot Sludge.
The packaging style continues with the windowless boxes for Leader class toys as we had seen with Studio Series Coronation Starscream. The front of the box features an amazing art with Sludge fighting and crushing some Sharkticons.
See the new images after the jump and then sound off your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Thanks to some extra gift money I decided to splurge and order the Non-Shortpacked deluxes. And Hauler.
Hey has anybody else noticed Scourge's "shipping out" date got moved to September 1st? What the heck.
Lincoln Tunnel
Just got mine from Pulse and in really happy with it. Wings stay on. Hips and knees are a bit loose but still have enough friction to hold poses. Great face sculpt too. Can't wait for them to complete the set.

Depends on how much you reinforce with. I only put so much folded card and tested the knee to my preferred tension before closing the thighs up.
Seeaich
Not if you use filler that has a bit of give, it's not ideal to pack them solid, just enough to add extra tension as they have too much give.

Doesn’t reinforcing that ratchet just end up grinding the teeth and destroy the ratchet tooth?
sophora
My Sludge from HasbroPulse arrived with loose knee ratchets. Not too bad of a fix, basically used folded card stock to reinforce the ratchet teeth.
Seeaich
Basically opening up the relevant area, groin, or thighs, and stabilising/reinforcing the plastic hip springs with a neutral material (card/styrene/springs) to give the gear tooth on the offending spring ring(s) more bite.
Sigmus Prime
Got mine from Pulse today.
Exact same on mine, basically (loose hip is my right, his left). Unfortunate, as his top-heaviness makes posing with the loose joints a pain. I'll be looking around for fixes.
BeastOfTheEast
Just got this delivered from Amazon. Knees and left hip are acceptable. R hip is pretty lose. Overall, not a bad figure, but a little disappointed (Sludge was the only dinobot I had growing up). Slag's built/hardware definitely felt much better.
Fafnir72
Yup. August 4 delivered today.
And yup, his thighs and the knees are waaaaaaaaaay loose than grimlock's or Slag's!
ckhtiger
He's available for retail on Amazon right now.
Robogeek28
Got my two Sludges yesterday, and while the outward hip movement on them is looser than I'd like, it's not horribly so.
Same thing with the knees, they ratchet, just not as tight as I'd like, and the robot mode wings seem fine as well.

You can just open it up, bend the ratchet parts out, then heat them up breifly and let them cool and it fixes all issues:
foxracing
Take the entire hip from 20433487 and use it on 20830?
GuardianMonkey
I received my two Sludges over the past few days. The one stamped 20731 has floppy-as-possible knees and the wings are super loose. The one stamped 20830 has much more stable knees, with the ratchets actually engaging, and the wings hold solid. Unfortunately, this copy has much looser *hips* than the floppy knee version. So what to do!?
Would it be possible to swap parts around to get a full functional copy?
Mardroid
Really forward to getting this guy. He looks good, although I wish they'd found a way to fill in that part on the haunch (where you see what appears to be the robot chest). Hopefully I'll get used to it, but it looks odd to me at moment.
Impactor666
There's no tail swivel lol
Novaburnhilde
They've really knocked it out of the park with these Dinobots.

Hopefully by the time they get to Swoop all the grays match.
Autobrat Leader
Lol. Did you get the tail swivel to work? That's even tighter.
