Thanks to @BWTF_Ben on Twitter we have our first US sighting of the new Buzzworthy Bumblebee Wave 2 Studio Series Deluxe.
Buzzworthy Bumblebee BB 86-02 Kup and BB 86-13 Cliffjumper were found at Target
in Vauxhall, New Jersey. These figures are more cartoon-accurate redecos of their original releases. Their wave partner BB-70 B-127 (Unmasked Cybertronian Bumblebee) should be out too.
Happy hunting!

eBay fees _are_ ridiculous if you realize you're paying that 15% on shipping and taxes too (which does _not_ go into sellers' pockets). I bailed because I couldn't break even buying so-called "wholesale" from distributors.

with buying a deluxe figure for MSRP and tax minus eBay selling fees, shipping cost, I will have to charge $38 including shipping to break even. This does not include gas money or supplies (tape, box, bubble wrap).
I think the big resellers or scalpers probably don’t have to buy the product and are using five finger discounts or other illegal means; otherwise, way too much hassle for not much profit.
GizmoTron
Actually once you throw in the tax and the gas to get to the store, and the fact that some stores are charging $25.99 at the register, that MSRP becomes a lot closer to $35 than it originally seems.

Ebay fees are the reason I only got 1 Victory Saber instead of 2. I did the math and to make the 1 I kept "free" I'd have to charge well over $400 for the 2nd one i put on ebay.
fanbase0000
i don’t considered paying double MSRP scalping since the profits involved are not much plus the time and effort that it takes to sell an item. 2x MSRP is a price I’m willing to pay as a late tax. For me scalping has to be at least 3-4 times MSRP.
MegaGnaw
I never said the fees were cheap. However, we're talking about reselling a figure for close to or double the retail price by persons who bought it in the first place for financial gain, not because they had an interest in collecting the figure like most of us.
The fees suck, but not outrageous, and eBay, understandably has to get their cut, but asking the prices I've been seeing appear to he motivated by greed and a realization that the figure is in relatively short supply.
So, Im not interested in filling these guys' pockets.
fanbase0000
I disagree. eBay selling fees are ridiculous and at almost 15%. I just sold a small Minecraft toy today for $24.99 with free shipping. I paid $3.75 in shipping fees and after eBay fees I made a net of $17.55 dollars. So eBay fees aren’t cheap.
GizmoTron
From that point of view maybe, but from a buyers standpoint it does look silly. They're asking them to buy a new Kup while the previous one isn't just still readily available, but due to the previous wave repacking him and Blurr it's literally still filling the pegs at many Targets right now. And people don't see "more screen accuracy" at the store, they see black/red box and yellow box.
At least with Cliffjumper the chances of finding the original Earthrise version at retail are slim to none now, so it makes a lot more sense to repack him at this time.
MegaGnaw
I do realize. I also realize from my selling, that the fees aren't that ridiculous.
Sponge
the windows are the plastic color the red on the chest is the paint
Greeman
Well I'm getting my Cliffjumper in the mail today, so I'm gonna go ahead that for my purposes, the extra ten/fifteen bucks I spent to get it without a bunch of needless toy hunting were worth it.
Grand Slam
They're scalping it. They're just bad at it. If a consumer buys a product they intend to immediately resell at a profit, they're scalping.
Thundershot
You do realize eBay fees are a thing. The person is probably only making $5-8 profit on the figure and has to pack it up and send it. It’s not like they’re scalping it…
Seeaich
Not silly at all if one considers Evan's almost explicit statement on the Livestream that both BBSS Cliff' & Kup are testers to trial the appeal of designs that trade transparent parts for opaque (& implicitly more screen accuracy, moreso in Kup's case where the alt mode deco is much more correct to the TFTM model sheet), which he expressly asked collectors to give their feedback on/for.
Gamerlingual
For those that have Cliffjumper, how's the paint? Any chipping on the windows?
MegaGnaw
I considered eBay too, and it's still a rip off. The thing is what? $22? And these guys want $35+$5-$10 shipping?
Nah. Not helping these dirt bags.
Greeman
I gave up on hunting and just bought a Cliff off of ebay. Easy decision to make with gas prices these days.
Obnimaz
Made the hour trip to our nearest target today, they had 2 regular SS Blurr and a Kup and not a single other transformer lol, not even a cyberverse.

i figured Hi-Octane (#79) would be released in the Studio line eventually maybe in the wave after the batch hitting now (Brawn, Ratchet, Ironhide)…the numbering would be in the late 80s at that point…
Cliffjumper might be a ways off since they wouldn't want it to be on the shelf at the same time as buzzworthy…I wonder what the subline numbers would be like by the time he gets out…might be in the latter 20s…
I would think the numbering doesn't make a difference as far as slotting them into a production run, but I don't think we've seen lower numbered figures mixed into a bunch unless there was some sort of delay?
omegafix
He is 86-13BB like all the other numbered Buzzworthys they throw that BB at the end to specify it's from that line. Regular Kup is 86-02, Buzzworthy Kup is 86-02BB
