Japanese store E-Hobby have updated their website with images and information of the second wave of their exclusive official super deformed Transformers cards.
These are prismatic cards featuring “chibi style” renditions of several Transformers characters. Wave 1 was released some weeks ago with G1 Convoy/Optimus Prime, G1 Megatron, Convoybat (BW Bat Optimus Primal) and Metalligator (BW Crocodile Megatron). Wave 2 brings us a new great variety of characters, including some classic Pretenders:
- G2 Laser Optimus & G2 Megatron
- Blaster & Soundwave
- Bludgeon & Stranglehold
- Rodimus Prime & Galvatron
These products are available for pre-order only in Japan at the moment. They are sold in pairs for 980 Yen (about $9.00). See all the mirrored images after the jump and then let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

In a lot of cases like with Stranglehold, even late G1 actually feels like something as new and different as Beast Wars and Car Robots.

I like generation one as much other people but I am getting t point sick of g1 want to see something new that’s not g1 inspired.,
new toy topic ( new toy be better if it was g1 mistransformed always pops in those topics) new movie vehicular red corvette it’s automatically someone named it be hotrod, sideswipe g1 in movie that red sports car turns out be drift always read about g1 vehicles modes in movies and bot looks in movies ., everything was g1 we wouldn’t have beast wars, no scourage from car robots , no prime as fire truck

I'm not really into chibi but Bludgeon somewhat and especially Stranglehold are deep cuts, but those two and no Octopunch? I would kind of like to have those despite not being into chibi if they finished the trio.

Stranglehold and Bludgeon are an odd choice but I love it. Wish HasTak would dip into the late G1 era a lot more often.
