Via Iron Factory Weibo account we have our first look a the color prototype of their IF-EX52T Twin-Edged Blade Norimune Tsuki (Legends Scale AOE Drift).
This a very nice representation of Age Of Extinction Drift for the Legends scale. A very detailed figure in both robot and alt mode in such a small size.
See the images after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards! You can find pre-orders for this figure via our sponsors links below.

Trying out the different skirt. I think I like this configuration the most.

@lilcarus does @ToyDojo have this in stock?

Amidst the States prepping to burn, my copy finally came in, and I can see why some of y'all don't like him. Hands are loose, kibble's annoying, and transformation is just frustrating, which I really hate cuz he has the BEST looking alt-mode of the Iron Samurai/IF-EX line so far. Unless the IDW repaint fixes any of these, I might just skip him, which is upsetting, cuz I'm getting IF-EX Ratchet, and I want both of them.

Now I want a sumo style aoe Hound in this line so badly!

i agree, i think this figure is super fun to pose and the “kibble” adds a lot of character imo

It’s all in the posing! Great job can’t wait to get mine.

not getting the hate, the softer material for the hands does make them pop out easier, but it’s not terrible on mine, honestly the elbows being a bit loose bothers me more.
the swords not being super firmly held in the sheath is fine as far as I’m concerned cuz no paint rub, and I’m not flipping him upside down so they don’t fall out during normal use.
things lined up reasonably well when I transformed it
The hakama style kibble is interesting, and can look really cool, or sometimes terrible, I’ll post more pics a bit later with more thoughts
yea I like the hakama kibbleView attachment 29540975View attachment 29540976 View attachment 29540974

Now that has me considering the white repaint, tho I of course would love an even more IDW version, or even just an IDW head or at least one that is more IDW.

I'll have to try that one, I like it.

seems like a lot of people aren’t feeling this little guy… but i’ve gotta different opinion. i’m really liking this guy. i know a lot of people hate the hip skirts but i actually really like them. it really evokes the samurai vibe imo. i can see how people would find him fiddly, but i was blessed with nimble asian fingers so no issues for me. the skirt kibble really isn’t a problem for me. due to them being on a series of hinges and balljoints, i find i can get the hip skirts to move with any pose i want to put him in. and he looks really good and dynamic in them. i really like his transformation and his alt mode. he’s not perfect, his fists like to come of and the swords don’t stay in the sheaths. the big sheath that’s used to parts-form doesn’t even allow the sword to go in all the way. i got a little paint chip when i did so never doing again. overall, i really like him. the way he poses and his aesthetics are just really pleasing to me.

i haven’t seen many people utilize the ports on the back of his hipskirt for his swords. this might even be my preferred configuration for his weapons.

So far this is my least favorite of the line, robot looks… okay-ish… if you get past the whole Adult-Diaper he's wearing… but also the transformation is horrible, and the car mode is not really good either, too many panel lining, lots of panels doesnt want to stay put together, bleh…

Its all in how you pose it. Make the "kibble" move with the pose and you can get some very dynamic posing out of it.

Nemesis Leo Convoy is another example of a great figure that is difficult to pose due to the kibble. Doesn’t help that some of the joints on mine are so tight they literally required shock oil to not break.
Kinda torn if I want the blue version of this anymore. I’ve heard a lot of negative feedback on here and YouTube. I might just go for the comic-colored one bc I can’t resist the colors

That's one of my BIGGEST issues with the Iron Samurai line. They all LOOK really cool, but their alt-modes (for the most part) kinda blow and they're a PAIN to pose. Hell, they're annoying to just try an play with. IF Cyclonus is the best example of this. Looks REALLY cool, but the skirt armor's annoying to deal with, and the alt-mode was so bad I just glued Cyclonus into his robot mode so at least THAT looked/felt decent. On a side note, the plastic used for Cyclonus felt like really cheap Gundam plastic. Neither of the other Iron Samurai figs I have (Bludgeon–rest in power–and Nemesis Lio Convoy) feel like that.

Picked this one up on sale, but have to admit that it’s a bit of a mess. I can’t stand the standard samurai configuration for the thighs, so thank god there’s the alt transformation to put those panels on the back.
But the tolerances are terrible, with the swords and scabbards frequently falling off. Hands, too. Back end of the car is indeed a disaster.
I really like this character, which I guess is why I’m not just getting rid of this figure.

Funny how the most samurai-inspired design became one of the least samurai-inspired designs in this line. If they'd stuck closer to the bayverse look it would have come out a lot sleeker and less cumbersome. Since it's on sale at showz I was tempted again but after watching another video review that was less than favorable I'm back in the "no" camp.
