And out of nowhere we have our first world sighting of the new Transformers Legacy toys in France, thank to Twitter user @QueenStodge.
Legacy Wave 1 Voyager Blaster & Rewind (Kingdom re-release) and Bulkhead were spotted at JouéClub in Saint-Junien, France for €29.99 each one The new Legacy packaging can really catch the attention of any casual customer around.
Could this mean we are about to find Legacy toys at US retail soon?. Let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

There's one coming in next year's Amazon subline, but we don't who yet. The leading theory is that it'll be Pyro (IIRC mainly based on the fact that he was rumored early on to be a pretool for an Optimus Prime, and Pyro looks a lot like an Optimus design) but I'll hold off on getting the Legacy figure until we know what it is just in the off chance that it's an Animated-inspired remold.

I do love that aspect of the line. I might not care for the characters/designs chosen on a number of them, but those transformations are everything awesome.
Rakzo
Is not even complicated, is just interesting.
Gumblor Gimbles
How is a complicated transformation an advantage?
To be honest, yeah.
No way lol, it would be leader at most.

I'd rather have the old design with ankle tilts and wrist swivels. (I think the old one had flip wrists but no swivels) I also want the show accurate blasters and two maces. This is much better than a straight reissue.
Only issue is, I doubt Hasbro would do it, unless it's commander class.
Sunbow Prime
imo they should have just straight up reissued the one on the right

I mean it's really not that bad. More "realistic" aesthetic rather than a stylized cartoon style look. Proportions of the arms and legs not as bad as Hasbro promo pics.
I can dig it. Might not be Prime Bulkhead sure but it's a different Bulkhead and that's okay for me.
Edwardmus Prime
Look like totally different designs to me. Pretty hard to pinpoint for that. One on the left has really nice articulation just looking at it, the one on the right looks a little chunky and basic…

I’m loving the ‘this looks like a really simple figure then has a surprisingly complex transformation’ effect that Legacy is having. Bulkhead’s transformation was not what I was expecting at all, and the canopy being able to stay on through the whole thing is fantastic.
Have we had any leaked remolds/redecos of Bulkhead come up? This mold would probably look great as a Decepticon.
Maybe an oversized homage to the Micromasters Terror-tread and Cement-head? A fusion of the two as Cement-Tread or Terror-Head? Or the same thing with Sledge and Hammer to make Decepticon Sledgehammer?
Dinocon93
They would be stupid not to make a Flame War and Nancy from PRcee. Even a deco based after Energon and The 07 movie design would look great.
Rakzo
You didn't even watch the transformation did you?
Gumblor Gimbles
It's literally a series of cuboids stuck together, but at least it has ankle tilts!
Rakzo
The one with better articulation.
JazzAlert13
Sure but the question to which one looks better has a much different answer!

"So everyone, which one of these looks newer?
…what do you mean, the one on the right?" View attachment 29387987

Hm, but how would that thin PP film be sturdy enough? I agree, the best way to go would be the selects packaging hands down. Imagine how much cheaper transformers would become if the customer were at least given the "without (collector) box" option. We're currently paying for the print, the artists, product shots etc. And here I go always throwing all of that away. Crazy if you think too much about, but I don't want these boxes piling up my space. I'm in it for the figures
RodimusZero
Well, you know what one good option might be/ though Hasbro is probably trying to keep this "image" of being super eco-conscious, which is good, I just want to make clear, but I think that's part of why they're limiting to only paper boxes with the little rope ties again…
but they could add a thin vinyl film over the hole, like a PP coat, similar to what's appiled to the box anyway to make it shiny. That could be done at the printing factory, and while *technically* plastic, it would still be less impactful than using a PET sheet like the current boxes. I don't know… I just really don't like this big hole being open like it is. They may as well go to hangtags and just wrap the guns and instructions around the toy with a rubber band.

I'd rather the box be sealed, the only problem for me with sealed, is the factory have a terrible record of painting the heads consistently, it makes inline purchases scary sometimes. You don't know if you're going to get the one that painted only half of the left eye. I really wish Hasbro would put more attention to this.
After all the fuss, this guy looks fantastic.

Haha, hard disagree on everything after "BUT". That's way speculative. You have Zero insight as to the environmental impact of a plastic window vs the ridiculously unlikely event of a "head rattling off". They are extremely secured in there and protected by the Box edges. I don't understand where this seemingly unrealistic fear is coming from
On the topic of increased on-line purchases, I'm with you. That's a big negative that needs to be observed over time
I'm not sure if I'll change my buying behaviour. I never liked the "thrill of the hunt" anyway. It's always more FOMO for me. Maybe I'll do preorders from now on
